Haven't seen Soma in quite a while either - not sure where hes at these days - he always kept an interesting house in the Dam - I wonder if he's still there ?

- so far this thread has given me many questions to ask any grower - breeder or seedmaker - that otherwise I may not have asked - so it's down to me to do the asking now - and hope to do it in a comfortable setting - not get too stoned and veg-out - lol

- any more questions I should ask? - carry on below -

I understand Scott is doing a lot with CBD and medicinal cannabis. How far are we with understanding the other cannabinoids and their relationship with the EndoCannabinoidSystem.

For K.C. Brains
  • Is he aware of the clone-only variety "The White", and does he think it might be a "White K.C." pheno like some people have suggested? Here is a photo of it from cocktail frank for reference:
    22889IMG_3046wh.JPG
  • A strain he uses a lot in breeding is K.C. 606 which is not sold "pure". Can he tell us some more about this strain?
  • His strains have a very good reputation for being excellent for outdoor growing. But what from his catalogue would he suggest for the indoor grower looking for dense, frosty, aromatic flowers, with a high calyx to leaf ratio?
For Simon
  • There is a lot of nostalgia for the original (pre-1998) versions of two of his strains: AK47 and Kali Mist. What would Simon say are the differences between the original and current versions. Does the current AK47 still have the cherry pheno and, if so, what is the prevalence of the pheno?
  • One of his newer strains is a Kali Mist / Bubble Gum hybrid called KaliBubba. What's the story behind the name, is he suggesting Bubba Kush and Bubble Gum are related?
For Sam
  • Is the "static" hash making technique that has been adopted recently in Morocco the same as the technique he was working on back in 2006 or so?
For all three
  • All three have had long careers in an industry where the law has not been on our side. What kind of issues have they with the authorities over the years and what kind of precautions have they needed to take to avoid more of them? What is their view on the current situation and the future regarding the laws?
  • I'm a big fan of using real males rather than reversed females in breeding. But I can't really back it up with anything more than "it feels right". Are there some genuine advantages that they have noticed using male pollen in breeding?

hello,
well would also help with video but busy in Morocco on a big movie until end of June...

questions...
Simon: what happened to AK47 & Kali Mist ??? it's not the same anymore... also his other gear ... have grown them last season ... White Russian ... no trace of the parents...
most of his genetics smells like old soap .. lavender kind... was really disappointed about AK47 ... have grown 2 packs and no AK47 like back in the day's ... same with Kali... looks like they all got mixed up... and they lost the parents...

Sam: big hug and thx for the haze love he gave me... still breeding with it and made also great S1's ... he answered all my questions when i'll visited him two times...

K.C. would be interested to hear more about his New Zealand strain he used... any pictures of the pure sativa...
and where he got his NL from... direct from US or from Nevil?

question to all:
why they don't care about original haze?
to me it's the best of the best to smoke ... have grown so many different last 30 years + ... OHz is the best high from all
i'm breeding only for the high... not flower time or yield... the high is what counts to me...
and Sam was right with everything he told me about...

many thx...

For KC:

How did you go about creating such hardy, resistant yet massive outdoor plants? As an outdoor only grower, his strains (Spontanica, KC33) have stood out far beyond any strains from any other breeders. What's the magic?

Also, and maybe more interesting: For a long time, you only offered regular seeds and seemed kind of reluctant to get into making feminized. What were the considerations in sticking to regular seeds and then deciding to make feminized as well? Do YOU still prefer to grow from regular seeds for your own stash? Do you use females from feminized seeds in breeding projects, or only females from regular seeds?

@MadMac , if you need assistance with stuff, let me know. I can carry a lot :)
Also I got a bit of experience with filming and directing but not really with post production.

And the question to the canna kings... Did they see changes in any clone lines over the years? Can clones make different plants after 10+ years(or even earlier)?

Cheers

I think i know what Simons is going to say. He already answered it on instagram. Same parents, same genetics from the beginning:). It’s just nostalgic good memories from our past playing with our heads lol. Everything we remember from our youth seems better music, movies etc. that was he’s answer 😪

I thought I read Serious seed's genetics today is not the same as their older gear. I would def like to know what year they changed their stock. Their new kali mist is not the same as what the older seeds (2009)produced. The 2019 version is not the same. I had pictures of thier 2009 version in my old albums but were lost. My thread is still there but no pictures.

Question for all... Do they think outcrossing landrace genetics produces better quality?

As many breeding questions that can be asked to all. ..
