did you put the end of the stems into a wet paper towel or anything similar?
I´ve had good luck keeping kitchen herbs in the fridge but I put them into a jar of water. I store them upright in the fridge door and they keep for much, much longer than outside at room temps :)
It was quite a while ago I did this and would suggest a look through the web. I might have given them a light misting, put them in a sealed bag/tupperware 7"-8" in length so you can give them a fresh bottom cut before rooting. I think I might have taken the big fan leaves off but I'm not sure and you need to open them occasionally to put in fresh air. Mine kept for 4 weeks perfectly. Some people kept them quite a bit longer.

Like I say you would be best to a bit of research as it was quite a while ago I did it. It is important they have some fresh air at times. I think I just blew air into the bag, like advised.

It's just a way to keep some unrooted cuts as backup/or keeping some for an extended time before rooting.

All good unless you don’t need them right now but will in a few weeks when your tent is empty. Makes for an easy way to keep them at bay until you’re ready for them.
Hey subgirl. I looked last night and the cuts were dead so over 8 weeks didn't work for me. But if you use a little high Kelvin light like I am in my kitchen they can sit there for a long time and grow really slow. Some of those plants have been there for at least 2 months.

Here's another little light that keeps plants growing really slow. I like the other light better, but this one works too. That kitchen light grows really tight nodes too.

I think I’ll stick to my glass of water on the kitchen counter method. I know I can keep cuts Alive for months there. I just use the under the counter light where I keep my other kitchen herbs.
thanks for reporting back on the experiment tho

That’s good to hear. I’ve not run into anyone that grew it. Did you happen to keep a grow journal? With pics? ✌️
Yes, I do have them in a grow journal over on GrassCity. I can see if I can copy and paste a picture over here if you want. What week of flower do you want to see?
I just checked my journal. I harvested on day 78 of flower counting from day of flip to 12/12 lighting schedule.

I’m gonna wait a bit longer. I like a little more amber action. Checking it everyday tho. Thanx Z ✌️
You're welcome.

But are you sure that you want your weed to get you really sleepy instead of really high? 😁

Even if you harvested now there would be even more cloudy & amber when the buds are dried. The plant/thc already starts to degenerate when the trichomes begin to turn amber.

So all we german growers on ic here harvest when we see the first amber. This is also our consensus when doing gatherings comparing our weed.

Would you do me the favor and cut just one bud right now and compare it to the ones you harvested later when everything is cured?

I'd bet that you'll like this bud at least as much as the ones you harvested later!

You are doing such a lovely job with your plants that it would really make me sad if you don't get the best herb out of it.
Trust me and try it with just one bud 😉

You can thank me later for all the electricity and time you will be saving in future grows 😛

Good morning Z
don't worry, I won’t let my weed get too done. 😁. Actually I plan to steal a nugget or two for an early sample today but I don’t think leavening these a few more days will hurt the buzz factor. There are still a few clear trichomes hanging out that I would like to see cloudy. I’ve been growing about three years now and have pulled plants at different times to see what I like best. I have pulled plants too early and too late. These plants are almost ready the most exciting time for sure. I have in the past harvested just the top buds and let the lower buds hang out for a bit if they are not as done but these plants seem to be ripening equally.
I like both an energetic buzz and a couch lock buzz at times depending on my mood but agree that an energetic buzz is a bit more fun for daytime use. I am super excited to try both of these plants as they have beautiful hard heavy and frosty nuggs.
‘thanks again for your comments and I will let you know how the early samples are While I wait for the others to cure a bit in the jars
my tent runs 24/7 so saving electricity won’t be happening after the tent is cleaned out, another grow should be starting.
‘have a sweet Monday my new German friend. I wish I could share the experiment with you 🥰✌️

Ok Z. I pinched a bud off of each plant. Oh my gosh they are some beautiful buds. Gave them both a wet trim and will do a quick dry on them in my house environment to give them a try.

‘truffle treats
before and after wet trim. This bud gifted to me as a clone from @Boo is as an amazing looking bud as I have ever grown.
‘smells delicious and very sticky too

the spice also very dense and sticky. Looking forward to trying both of these early buds 😊

Awesome! You won't regret this!
They look nice and frosty 😁

You should also wet trim a part of the later harvest for better comparison.
Because wet trimming CAN harm the taste (depending on strain).

Not that you think the earlier harvested are worse although it is only because you compared wet trimmed to dry trimmed 😉✌️

I rarely dry trim so that will be easy for me 😳
