The cuttings keep as good as the day you put them in. I thought it was odd when I first heard about it and put some in just to see and they kept perfect for a month, some people keep them 8 weeks.I usually have extra cuttings when I trim. I leave them in a little vase of water on my kitchen counter under the little cupboard light changing the water out a couple times a week. They last forever like this and even make roots in the water if you leave them long enough. I would think keeping them in the crisper would wilt them with no light and water
I have rooted cuttings in water but I don't think they rooted as well but it has been a long time since I'v used clones. A very long time.
I use to keep clones of a Hawaiian strain that was bought through the early seed company. Plus a couple of local strains. It's been over 25 years since growing any clones.
I use to love that Hawaiian strain, great flavor and big flowers. Grew without problems, the only downside was the flowering period. It was not good for a cash crop but personal smoke, oh yeah.
