Unc my maters were in here for a week, tall enough to need cages! Of course I'm about to go out now to throw a cotton sheet over them for the night! fingers crossed it's the last of the last under 40 nights ... Or 50 for that matter

Maters here do better on the ground. The leaves cover the blooms and fruit from the heat as they grow. Have tried cages with no luck at all. Is what it is. the dump here shreds trees they get and much them. So I'll get some of that to put on the ground before they get to big to fall over to protect them from contact with the bare ground

my beds are all pretty heavily mulched to keep moisture in plus theres shade cloth over the top to shield it from the worst of the noon sun,sunflowers are almost 3 feet tall already,i can see my chilis and peppers are starting to set fruit,the cucumbers are climbing their way up the trellis,lots of flower buds on them,got more squash coming up,got another spot for a new bed layed out for next year...gotta rotate the maters...

i had fried green mators sunday, still a little small but tasted damn good smoothered under white gravy

looks like you will have alot of cookies RR, how many plants are there ?

i have plenty of blossoms on the tomatoes but no fruit is setting yet...
i sure do love smokin the cookies,growing them is a bit disappointing

Green tomatoes sound really nice. Making me want some.
There are 8 of them and 1 SFV OG in the back. \Had a table full of SFV for the next run but had to cut them down. Damn things were already 3 ft tall and with the way they stretch i wasn't even about to deal with 9 foot of wispy vines going everywhere.

lucky for me my margins arent so tight i cant grow cookies no matter how little it may yield compared to something else cause i sure do like smoking it,plus its worth a premium around here so it works out...
