Has anyone mentioned haze 19? I remember haze 19 crosses being very metallic.

There was also a line from obsouleet I grew called G dot that was very very "metal shop" in smell and taste.

Google says Borneol is the terp.

Google is wrong. The vape terp goons from GW must've loaded Google down with all sorts of misinfo by now. "Skunk is myrcene, pinene tastes good, limonene is medicine" Why hasn't Ethan Russo been tarred and feather yet?

It's a vinyl ketone. Which seems to arise from imbalanced fertilizers and the associated susceptibilites. I believe most off flavors from imbalanced Cannabis are amyl/methyl/propyl vinyl ketones.
"One man's 'gas' is another man's flooring store/metal shop."

"Metal" has no smell. Only the break down of fatty acids in your nose catalyzed by the select metal (curing tip revealed). Volatile metals are heavy metals. I used to think I had metallic weed, but it was the new pipe I'd made out of nitrous oxide carts.

That metallic isopropyl "haze" thing only arises when vaporized bud falls onto the heating element. It's the plant matter releasing the smell, not a metabolite of the plant. I've had retail purchases that smelled and tasted of iron rust, but they were popular strains that did not smell like rust when anyone else grew them.

i found some metal shop smells in Doc Ds bandaid haze work. the smell reminded me of my dad. he was a pipefitter-so grinding on metal all day long.
when i smell that aroma i associate it with thai strains. so i think all of the sativa recommendations are spot on

I second the metal Cindy99. I just ran Iron cindy and its the same thing.
I actually selected a "penny" scented male to knock up a similar scented Katsu Harlem dream female.
I have a tun of seeds if you wanna play

Another one that has some metal to the terps is the clone 1987 from Purple City Genetics. Here's their description:

Type: Sativa Finish: 9–10 weeks   Genetics: (Ft. Collins Cough x SSSD) x (Kali Mist x SSSD) Notes: Amazing metallic haze / pure electricity/ test over 30% THC/ bred by PCG

Almost dismissed this because of the GW Pharma conspiracy theory start but seems like it is actually true, the metal smell part that is.

Interesting.

And this chemical compound is found in hops, rosemary, tomato...
