I'm at 55N too,so it has a lot to do with the weather and luck,but I'gonna try some canadian genetics crossed with dutch & danish strains and a couple of specials like;
Mantis x GG#3,Venomhead x Mighty Mite,Mighty freeze,MD x MAF,NL x WS'07,Lionheart x GG#5
Pluton II,Norfolk 'n good x PurpSativa, yeah cant hardly wait as this was about the wettest season in the 25+ yrs I've grown. And the outcome was thereafter unfortunately.:moon:

That's stupid school yard BS. People need to grow up.

where are you finding those alien crosses?
Hey man gonna try and get some proven Alien crosses out of Dago early next year and will let you know.

lots of issues with botrytis bunch rot in our coastal area. in combination with a comprehensive preventative program, we've seen good success with the following strains:

lemon skunk (ghs), romberry, greencrack, slh, blue dragon (blueberry x sour diesel). we've seen lesser success (but still good) with blue dream.

great white shark (ghs), god's gift & apollo 13 were absolutely decimated by botrytis.

25ftGreatWhite - Where did you get the Romberry from? Also, who's apollo 13 did you use? Thanks.

I have been hearing great things about Vanilla Kush. I got a fem pack of these beans and I will be putting at least one out next year. I grew her out indoors and she was very nice.

The usual suspects. Maple Leaf Indica, PCK, AI, and new to the outdoor garden, Peyote Purple. Hope the weather is more cooperative than last season...........

Bullfrog really dug your '11 grow.

Romberry was a cut I got from a grower here in San Diego. Great outdoor strain, the plants had about a dozen towering colas each, and nearly got as big as the Blue Dreams. Unfortunately haven't been able to get a hold of any more cuts.

Apollo 13 was cloned from Reserva Privada seed. Sativa leaning. Big, lanky Christmas tree which smelled like lemony fuel before the botrytis overtook it.

The local environment here hasn't been good the past two seasons - consistently overcast, unusually high humidity, rains and no fire season.

25ftGreatWhite - Thanks for the shot out on my grow. I think I may have a similar environment here in the bay area. Not the hot and humid, but moist for sure. I grew out Romulan sever times outdoors and I miss her. Rom berry just sounds delicious, I will be keeping my eye out for her. Thanks again.

Where'd you get your hucklberry? Only a few people have it. It's Blueberry Trainwreck I think. Nice cut.

powerhouse is from htc, its Deep Chunk x C99, the girl we selected is straight grapefruit but finished late oct and was a bitch to trim. yield was better than just about every other variety we ran.

the huck im running is from a friend that had the cut in his garden last season - his plants got pollinated by some jack/nebula

so i popped 20 of the cross and now have about a dozen or so of the huck crosses flowering in my search for the huck mom for this season.
fingers crossed on finding a keeper, if not theres a good breeders pack of beans left.

been meanin to msg both of you guys actually.

running everything in approx 200 gal diy smarties.

This year I had some SFV OG. 90 percent went moldy, never again. This year my plans are:

1. Cherry Kush

2. Fire OG

3. Blackberry

what kind of cherry kush is it the cherry pie (gdpxdurbanxogkush)??

blackberry actually surprised this year outdoors...i was skeptical of running her because her indoor version is prone to auto flower and while its frosty doesnt pack a punch in flavor or potency...but outdoors she was dripping in frost and finished very early..yield looked good for the small 4 foot tester plant i put outside...

That Cherry Kush is pretty darn good and seems to be making the rounds now. Had some from a local grower that really didn't know what he was doing and very nice. Half way across the state in the Chico hills area some peep was giving it good reviews from what he saw. Somewhat cherry but more general fruity then fuel/chem type smell, tight bud structure and loaded with resin...which is what I think you'll get.

Hard to go wrong with Fire OG :)
