Its heart warming to hear people notice ❤️
The stuff i hear from my many Spanish friends, and the fact that the first i knew about this was from CNN, not swe-news, made me realize that this one was a big one, most people ive talked to have friends or aquaintses affected in some way. Its at least 155 dead and counting, looks like at least 300, there are still many missing. Trailer trucks pulled away by waters turning main streets into rapids, not rivers. People going downstairs to examine their first floor which was flooded to the ceiling the nigh before only to find a random dead guy in their house living room. No power. Just a huge mess. The rainfall of an entire year in less than an hour, 12"/300 mm rain!

Not far from my home, in the Ahr valley, we experienced something similar.
It's just a shot away.
It reminds me a bit of tragedies from the past in my home country; things so big that everyone knows of someone with either direct affectation or lost friends or family. Thailand tsunami struck incredibly hard here, very surprising but a lot of swedes where holidaing or with properties there. Hopes and prayers always sounds like a platitude for me, mis simpatias y animos hacia ti y tus querridos y tod@s afectados ❤️
Behind every shadow theres a Great Light.

Edit: its always hard to see these things from afar, my flat in bcn had some water damage/flooding during Gloria in -20; a bit worried and hope everything is fine there aswell...

the "authorities" make the worst management can do. only the solidarity between normal people make the things go better, hard lesson to learn, solo el pueblo salva al pueblo, not to mention government of valencia are climate change negacionist . You can`t control climate , maybe star to think in control capitalism. Hope duby and his team are ok.

Things seem to work out quite well in Spain, but mainly due to divine providence and mostly despite government intervention. Many times i feel Spain is both the black sheep and in the same time favorite child of all Gods creations: so many times were fucked but then saved in the nick of time by something looking suspiciously random: like God winking at us saying "I got you, Bro ;)"
Anyone who saw the initial enactment of the drought law (started raining the day after it went thru parliament after a long rime of haggling and drought; well at least in our area) and the case of Pulpo Paul, the worldcup match guessing octopuss (who else is a future divining octopus going favor!?!? Sweden, or another rational place which doesnt live in the sublime surreal mystery? Please...) will eventually either go nuts or become superstitiously religious.
But this doesnt help the poor affected. But in Spain were likely favoured both by God and the Devil - sometimes its expressed thru comedy but sometimes thru tragedy. I became at least somewhat religious or believing in fate here and im very grateful for it, its better to live in mythos than reality...

As we have gathered the attention of at least a few Spaniards here in the thread (entonces is a dead giveaway...) id like to take the opportunity to ask you guys: do yall know anything about the strain Kate Mate? Ive never seen seeds on sale anywhere and the only online mention referred to something about Osuna. If anyone knows anything then please PM me as i dont wanna derail the thread with my investigations in green mysteries just to say it was one of my absolute fave happy/anti depression strains. Just taking an opportunity when it presents itself...
