Its heart warming to hear people notice ❤️
The stuff i hear from my many Spanish friends, and the fact that the first i knew about this was from CNN, not swe-news, made me realize that this one was a big one, most people ive talked to have friends or aquaintses affected in some way. Its at least 155 dead and counting, looks like at least 300, there are still many missing. Trailer trucks pulled away by waters turning main streets into rapids, not rivers. People going downstairs to examine their first floor which was flooded to the ceiling the nigh before only to find a random dead guy in their house living room. No power. Just a huge mess. The rainfall of an entire year in less than an hour, 12"/300 mm rain!

Not far from my home, in the Ahr valley, we experienced something similar.
It's just a shot away.
It reminds me a bit of tragedies from the past in my home country; things so big that everyone knows of someone with either direct affectation or lost friends or family. Thailand tsunami struck incredibly hard here, very surprising but a lot of swedes where holidaing or with properties there. Hopes and prayers always sounds like a platitude for me, mis simpatias y animos hacia ti y tus querridos y tod@s afectados ❤️
Behind every shadow theres a Great Light.

Edit: its always hard to see these things from afar, my flat in bcn had some water damage/flooding during Gloria in -20; a bit worried and hope everything is fine there aswell...

I will soon be 65 years old and have experienced and seen a lot of shit personally and as a news cameraman.
The Tao and Zen have taught me how to deal with it and to entrust myself to it.
I feel for the victims and wish everyone the best.
