I've known quite a few older folks, some of which grew hemp during WW2. they were always against "marijuana","pot", or "dope", and were quite astounded when I told them it was just hemp. several of them told me "hell, I used to smoke indian hemp..."
a friend of mines grandfather used to help his dad grow hemp for the war effort in WW2, & still grows his own weed today at the age of 88. cool old fucker, has electricity but no running water in his house, raises his own garden & kills a few deer for meat each year.
I want to be him if I ever grow up...

I didn't read EVERY post in here, but I see where your'e coming from with the word marijuana sorta. Before the government started using it to shit talk cannabis, the word didn't have a negative connotation (correct me if i'm wrong). Using it now is kind of like taking back our word, you know? The only term I get irked by is "weed". That really implies something you don't want, which is silly
