Sooooo, I haven't tried all of Stoney Girl Garden's offerings, but I did try Pit Bull and Sugar Plum a few years back. To my tastes, neither were bad, nor remarkable.
I did talk to Jennifer and Mike about their quick flowering genetics, and they said that the strain was developed from high altitude strains, where the season is short, and that they had determined that was the optimum time to harvest for the effects that they sought, not that it necessarily looked like it was ready for harvest to everyone.
One of the things that I notice even within the Skunk Pharm Research group, is that we don't all agree on what constitutes optimum effect. I like cloudy, and one of my partners likes amber,
Sort of like the farmer prays for rain on exactly the same day as the traveler prays for good weather. Tastes and motives aren't universal.
ill agree with ya on the harvest times gw. i like my bubbas at 9 weeks, some 8 others 10. however we can all agree that when we see a 35 day flower with no mature trichomes, not a red hair in sight, and still a calyx cluster its not done. ive asked her at ogf about it and never got the same answer twice. just a shame that if she actually labled pitbull as a 9 week strain then people wouldnt be utterly dissapointed in it cause they take it at 45 days as per the breeders recommendation. its nowhere near as amazing as she claims, but when its given enough time its not too bad either.
