Stephen Colbert..

i agree with you zamalito, i think he is more politically astute than jon stewart, partially due to the different character he plays, the most rabid foaming at the mouth xenophobic homophobic american television demogogue. it gives him great space to critique the entire political landscape by trumpeting and drawing attention to the peddled ignorance that is supposed to slip under the radar and simply permeate the collective consciousness of society.

i also love when he quotes the bible. he was also excellent last week when he grilled a democratic congressman on unicef. the guy was unable to say whether he supports unicef, then he said he supported it, then he was unable to say what unicef does... beautiful... colbert definitely skewers em left or right but the whole U.S. gov't is devoid of leftists to begin with, so that leaves a lot more fat to trim on the right.

yea chong was on yesterday .. it was funny
colbert: are you high now sir?
chong: ha yea man im tommy chong*in classical chong voice*.(crowd cheers)

my problem lies not with his portrayal of this type satire but rather in how impactful he believes he is. sort of a michael moore feel i get from him, and those people piss me off.
