tbh I know stardawg has a rep but I think some of his other strains are probably underated. ive seen pics of his other releases which look very nice as well.

THESE ARE NOT MY PICS!

Much respect to the folks that grew these.

i wanna know too! the illuminati is not a big yielder at all but people say the corey cut yields like the chem 4 so I'm curious. people prob disagree but i think the yield on this strain is way overrated. I've grown the illuminati, kyle kushman cut, plus grew 31 seeds and the yield is not near where i need it to be. I've had other chem strains that yield way more

Hmm, mine is almost spot on for the chem4. Side by side last year they were almost identical except the Stardawg has way more sour chem funk...and it did outyield the 4 but neither were crushing weight after i chopped the backside of the plant off (vert scrog). I can hit 2per with my cut for sure.

What drops did you pop the 31 seeds from?

A little tip on the stadawgs...

I have found that rockwool, or perlite transforms her into a hole nother animal, soil or coco just doesn't bring out the goodness.

Interesting, im doing soil now but do think my best results with my cut were in coco. Organic coco straight crushed though. I think the organic and soil runs come out a bit more lemon sour vs chemmy.

Surprising enough there are more top dawg strains than you think that reeeek more so than the star....but thats another thread....

What you got Money? Cuz these star reek to high heaven homie. lol.

Bout to drop some from first/early drops myself. See if i can find some different structured females of similar qualities or somethin random to play with.

So wait,,, if/when you get beans you might not get something as nice..?
im sorry thats a completly false statement....tried n true....no smoke no mirrors..
we dont rely on hype...
Again not a serious comment. But your response seems to indicate that you believe every pack has something at least as nice as those cuts. Impressive. When's your next drop on those beans.

^Every single stardawg I've had the pleasure of trying has been on par or better than the regular chem cuts, for what it's worth.

Agreed Lloyd. I mean i think i found my cut in first 3 beans i popped back in 2010/2011. I know she replaced all the chems for me and several cats respected in the game.

Mine was the same thing.

I could have thrown 2 seeds and stopped.. Would have found my keeper in seed #2 and this was from a release in 2012.

All of my cuts from the 3 packs that I ran were top notch and last I heard 5 are still alive and being passed around locally here.

I just kept the best of them all, they were all TOP NOTCH though.

the seeds i grew we're from the release last year. the one where the male is supposed to yield some purple phenos. i think our experience in yield has to do with the style of growing we do. for example I'm doin sea of green no veg so i equate veg growth speed with yield get me? if chem 4 and star dawg are vegged than il take your word for it that they yield pretty much the same. i couldn't get the star dawg cuts big enough to yield the way i grow. il know a lot more soon though cause I'm currently growing some chem 4 s1's. these shits turn into straight monsters and I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far I'm on day 28 of flower. they can handle more nutes than the star dawg and are way less finicky. also from my experience star dawg had a lot of nutrient sensitivities that i wasn't really into and made it harder to grow. i don't wanna sound like I'm trashing star dawg though cause its definitely bomb ass weed and stinks to high heaven

can someone tell me something though. why is it star dawg is a chem 4 x chem d cross but theres no lemon smells at all? chem 4 is supposed to have a strong lemon pinesol and fuel smell and every pheno I've grown there was zero lemon.

im with true grit...stardawg replaced the chem4 here.

@tree king ive always thought the 4 smells sulfur pinesol. i think it was mr dank that said it smells like a can of fresh opened tennis balls. i think hes pretty accurate on that also :p

StarDawg#6 aka Pootie Tang starts to smell like lemon pinesol after a 4 month cure. KK StarDawg and Pootie Tang seem to take after the Chem4 and StarDawg#9 take after the TresDawg and might have some bud structure from the Chem4. Illuminati seem to be a combination of both parents to what I see. When you grow the StarDawgs the way that they want to be grown, they can be good yielders but I think you know all this.

Hey Snype :tiphat:.

What kinda tips you got for the SD. Specifically the Illuminati.
The Illuminati is the most picky out of my 4 StarDawg's. She can look different on each grow depending on many factors, i.e. heat, medium, etc. The best advice that I can give you is to keep your pH in line and keep the top of the canopy 75 degrees F or under. She can eat more than my other StarDawg pheno's. She can run / foxtail pretty easily at high temperatures or if the light is too close. The best place to look for advice is from doneit because his Illuminati pics look the best that I've ever seen. I think he grew it in straight perlite. I'll let you know what I learn about the Illuminati when I go to straight organics in about 30 days.

As far as my other 3 pheno's other than Illuminati, they are pretty easy to grow and don't need much food. They pretty much grow themselves if you can get your heat in check but Illuminati needs more attention.

we'll you know I've grown that 6 cut for a long time. one time i sat on a perfectly grown batch for 2 months and still no lemon. its nothing even close to lemon in my opinion its just skunky diesel with no fruit. thats good to know you smelled it though. il let you know about the chem 4 though its supposed to smell like strong lemon even during the grow thats why I'm confused. at least thats what I'm told we'll see. and also the mother of star dawg is not the chem 4 clone correct?

I can agree with being slightly sensitive. Had several friends not wanna spend the time dialing her like she needed...as in just adjust a few levels and watch ph. Organic coco was easiest by far.

So in your SOG do you run untopped plants? What kinda yield per plants? Ive only run one untopped of mine, just a lil gal and think i got around 2oz...nothing big and why i haven't run more untopped.

As for lemon- ya mine def has some lemon Sour d flave, especially in organics. In straight coco chems she gets just nasty chem funk.

I agree 100% on ph needing to be solid. I would get weird rust spots on my coco plants. Raised my ph to 6.0-6.2 and eliminated all the issues. Also very much like OG's she doesn't like a wet medium...probably because of ph shift. '
Nice thing is regardless of finicky nature she still puts out solid every time.
