Update 7/14 - Day 60

Im long overdue for an update, the last 2 months have been very hectic to say the least and to put it simply shitty. None the less Im back and will be doing regular updates on this test grow as well as all my other logs. A lot has happened but nothing has been missed, flowering has yet to begin. This grow got off to a very rough start but things are doing very well now and really back on track.

Initially I popped 8 seeds, losing 3 from the very start to my stupidity, then another 2 around a week after sprouting. Had just started using a new veg cabinet when the power to the intake and exhaust fans went out for approx an 8 hour period. Temperatures got over 100 degrees and fried all of my plants badly. I nearly lost it when this happened and for awhile I wasn't sure if more than a couple plants would survive. After all was said and done there was a lot of damage inflicted out of a total of 21 (8x StardawgxBiker) seeds started 10 survived.

Initially started with 8 SDxB, 6 Headbanger, 5 Purpetrator and 2 I-95. The aftermath left me with; 1 I-95, 4 Puretrator, 2 Headbanger and 3 SDxB. As of now I have 2 SDxB's the third one was a runt that never seemed to recover or bounce back and was culled a few weeks ago. One of the HB's was a stalled runt also but she was able to bounce back and start growing again. She is much farther behind and displaying a lot less vigor than the others and really not sure what to think about her. Trying to find a bright side to the way this grow has started, I figure my abuse was a super stress test to weed out all the week plants. Only the strong survive and I must say outside of the runts, the survivors are strong vigorous, all around great looking plants.

Within the next 2 weeks I do plan to get some more of these SDxB seeds started so I have some more of these gems to play around with. The plants have all been sexed now leaving me with 1 girl and 1 boy, both appear to be leaning heavily to the Stardawg in appearance and smell. They both look and smell very similar with the male being a little more stout and taller but not quite as good branching. Both of them stink something fierce. The smells really remind me a lot of my keeper KOG#2 with a really nice mango/guava type smell. With these SDxB the og funk is replaced by a really sour chemmy funk. The planned timeline for this lady and all the others is to get some cuts, get them all transplanted into larger pots then get them into bloom in the next 2-3 weeks.

All of these pictures are a few weeks old, I will have some more recent pictures posted in the next post. Sorry as well for the crappy pictures not sure what I did to my camera but everything is coming out with a really yellow tint I will get things figured out.

Stardawg x Biker #3 (F)

Im really loving this girl, her and the lone surviving I-95 are without a doubt the standouts up to this point. This girl is loud, and is easy to smell from a distance I really have high hopes on this girl. If her structure, vigor and odor are any early indications she might be something special, cant wait to flower her out. She has massive fan leaves, the main ones tending to be 9 fingers while on the branches she has lots of 5 and 3 finger leaves. Very long and skinny fingers on her fans, really liking the shape of them with the serrations and points. Smell on this girl is great right now an awesome sour, mango/guava, skunky chem funk. As mentioned previously reminds me a lot of my keeper Karmas Og with a chemmy twang to it.

Stardawg x Biker #8 (M)

This guy is an awesome plant, he's the biggest and most vigorous plant of everything that was started this round. He seems to be a really good pairing and very similar to his sister. More stout, thicker stems and branches, he has even bigger fan leaves. His fans seem to be a little more round and maybe leaning more toward the biker dad than his sister. The true colors aren't showing up in these crappy pictures but his leaves are a very dark leathery green. SDxB#3 has dark green leathery looking leaves just not as much or dark as his. He is just as strong smelling as the girl he is a little more on the skunk side and less on the mango/guava side. I do plan on keeping him around for a little bit, took clones from him about 6 days ago so I can hang on to him for the time being. Once I get a cut rooted I will most likely just toss him and save some soil and space.

Update Continued 6/14 - Day 60

So more recent pictures as promised.

Stardawg x Biker #3

She had just been transplanted into a larger 2 gal pot after this picture was taken. I will probably get her into a 3 gal pot before flowering her out. You can notice from the pictures she is a little unhappy and overdue for a transplant. Also, I have trimmed all her main fan leaves off, needed to get more light to really let her branching take off. Im not going to be topping or training her, I really want to see her natural growth for this first run. In recent weeks she has really slowed down on the vertical growth and her branching has really exploded. The tight node spacing and branching with this girl is awesome, her and the I-95 are the bushiest girls in the entire group by far.

Stardawg x Biker #8

Here we have a before and after he got all of his big fan leaves lopped off. Both of these plants and their massive fan leaves have just blotted out too much light to the lower branches and have been removed. Going to hang on to him for the present time but will most likely be throwing him out when a clone roots.

I'm in it to win it now too. Glad to see your veg cabinet didn't fry everything. Sucks when the fuck ups happen but otherwise it wouldn't be growing right?! It's all good from here on out

Subbing in.

Plants look good! Mine are just breaking soil and will be grown similarly to yours - most, if not all fans removed to promote branching, no topping. Looking forward to seeing how this goes - good luck!

@Bmac1 - Thanks man it feels good to be back and getting in the swing of things again. Really looking forward to this grow and antsy to get flowering started to say the least.

@who dat is - Thanks for dropping in. Definitely got off to a rough start, in fact the worst I have ever had. Could have easily lost more or even all of the plants. Im very happy to end up with 7 ladies of the 9 surviving plants. You learn a lot from mistakes, every grow is a learning experience and makes for a better grower.

@SmokinErb22 - Welcome aboard, I will have to keep an eye on your grow as well, really excited to see the types of phenos that other find in this line.

@Gardening Angel - Thanks brotha, it was a very shitty mistake to have and really pisses me off, I have been pretty hard on myself over it.

Good times now though things are under control and moving along nicely. Really love the girl that I have left and hold very high hopes for her potential.

Love me some Karmas Og, been craving to pull some down since 4/20, The Karmas are straight beasting it right now beautiful massive bushes that stink something fierce. They are swelling and stacking up much better than the previous round, not counting their shear size this time I think they will easily out yield last round.

Update 8/5 - Flower Day 1

Thats right finally getting this beauty into flower. She was transplanted nearly a week ago into a 3gal pot and will be joining the Karma's OGs in a packed tent. I plan to have my new flowering spot open for business within the next week, just getting all the finishing touches completed. I had extra room in the tent at my other spot and wanted to get it filled up. I have also been getting a little antsy to see what this girl has in store for me and couldn't hold off any longer.

Out of all the seeds that were started this past round there are currently 4 standout plants that I have very high hopes for. The Stardawg x Biker, I-95, Purpetrator and a Headbanger, are the standouts of the veg room right now. The SDxB and I-95 are the standouts among the standouts. All have great structure, amazing branching, lots of vigor and very pungent stinky girls. I only had room for one of plant in the tent and it took me all of one second to decide the SDxB was the choice, if that says something.

She has the strongest and most intoxicating smell in the veg garden, literally stinking up the house. A blast of skunky, sour, tropical mango and guava. She has a very similar tropical essence to my Karmas Og keeper, and reminds me a lot of the Stardawg (guava cut). I have grown lots of stinky plants in veg/flower during my time, she may not be the strongest. She is the only plant I have grown in memory thats smell could be mistaken for finished bud if you took a blindfolded wiff.

I have not topped or pinched this girl, I have only trimmed large fan leaves to help promote her branching. Really want to see how she grows naturally and she hasn't let me down yet. I have been really impressed with her growth the past few weeks. Her top has really slowed down while her branching has taken off and nearly caught up. Her structure kind of reminds me of a crazy menorah almost or at least thats what I see when I look at her. She really seems to be dominate towards the mommy Stardawg in the cross, she is going to put on a good show.

Anyways enough talk the show has finally begun....

@nickman @DJXX @Gardening Angel @SmokinErb22 - Thanks everyone for following along, really excited and very impressed with this girl. She is going to put on an excellent show.

@OvergrowDaWorld - She really seems to be leaning heavy towards the Stardawg side of the cross. The male was also very similar in appearance but his leaves are a little fatter and more rounded.

@KarmaG - You are so right this girl is going to be a massive beast by the time she finishes stretching. I love the Road Dawg name another winner in the making. Cant wait to see what other magic you have up your sleeves for future Co Ops.

Update 8/16 - Flower Day 11

Nearing in on the second week of flower and this girl has just been blowing up and loving life. I cannot get enough of the smell on this girl and I can only imagine what it will be like when she is covered in sticky buds. Her stretch has really set in and I expect for it to continue at least another two weeks. She was ready to start flowering and seemed to take off after being in the flowering tent for a day. She is starting to pop out pistols all over and all of her bud sites are getting ready to explode.

Im in love with this girls structure and the natural bush she grew in to. No topping or training with her, all I did was trim some of her large fan leaves to help promote and get her branching started. She is going to put out a lot of tops and really be loaded top to bottom with flowers. The branching and tight node spacing on this girl is something impressive to say the least. Time will tell but she sure looks like she is ready to put out a very nice yield. She was/is one leafy lady, I had to do some serious defoliating before placing her into flower and its been a continuing process since.

Road Dawg #3

Right now she doesn't have any support but Im thinking that I will probably need to add some stakes and do some tying up of her branches before long. Her branches and overall structure does appear to be very solid, strong and sturdy so far. She may appear sturdy but her main stalk and branches are still very thin and small. Im thinking once the weight of her buds really starts packing on she will start flopping all over the place.

She is going to have one main top/cola but many of her branches are right below and look ready to form some nice tops. I did give her main top a pinch yesterday to let some of her other tops do some catching up. Some of the lighting in the pictures is a little off showing some yellowing. Her new growths and tops are a light green and older leaves are a really vibrant dark green. This is one beautiful happy girl right now that has me licking my chops to watch her grow.

Ill be t/p'ing mine today. Just got the soil yesterday.
Going from 1's to 3's and Im expecting them to blow up quickly.
I noticed the main stalks like to grow to one side. Not straight up.
They will need staking for sure.
