I think that roar in the background was cookie in slow motion barking 
I’m halfway dressed didn’t even finish my coffee it’s freezing outside, and a pair of Jehovah’s Witness showed up asking me my opinion of the future …cookie was barking and I had to admire them for coming out and making the rounds. I politely told them that it wasn’t a good time for a conversation.

Just hearing Jerry here reminded me of an impulse purchase I made late the other night. I found a way to bypass the prohibition on buying MYSELF anything in the run up to Christmas.
I wasn’t at these shows (and I still regret not going to see them at a festival in northern Vermont back in the 80’s) That list of woulda shoulda is too long but also too late.

Turns out there was a serious light show at some point during one of these shows followed by a rainbow of course so I figured she might make the connection.She always ignored any attempts to keep her away from the windows during light shows and I was just as guilty for some reason….
Pretty sure she’s no Deadhead but will give it a listen if I ask her to; maybe not. It’s just one more way to stay connected as we drift inexorably and slowly apart; c’est la vie. I just keep reaching out knowing there’s no guarantees in life.
And THAT makes me think of Chris Smithers excellent album 100 Dollar Valentine which I listen to more than ALL the music I have available lately.
