The course fairways are looking good. Must be cool in the mornings. Some mornings I would have to get on the tractor and gather up the balls on the driving range, that was a cold job with the wind blowing, freeze your butt of first thing.
I see what appears to be an eagle on the hunt. The ravens at our course use to like to take golfer's balls some times.
It was kind of fun to to deflate the golfers excitement when they would come in and excitedly say, "do you know what just happened to me," yeah a raven stole your golf ball. Their shoulders would slump their laughter was gone and "how did you know," just guessed.
Is your season coming to a close soon?
Yep Sunday is the last day we are open. Thank God!

Lots of projects to do through the Winter as this is a restoration project. It will be fantastic without those pesky golfers.

We have seen 28 degrees on two mornings so far.

Holy schmokes Star that looks incredible!

As per the moles/voles. I have tried trapping but have been unsuccessful for the last 3 years lol. I won't use poisons as their indiscriminate and will kill anything. I just keep filling holes and walking over their tunnels to tamp them back down and basically bother them to try to get them to move on. I got lucky and saw one out in the early morning and shot it with my pellet gun but thats not a solution. IDK what else to do but I definitely don't want them as they're destructive. If you figure it out let me know 😁

This is Tuxedo, Buffy's sworn enemy. I have no idea who Tuxedo belongs to (no idea what the cats real name is either) but Tuxedo has stopped by for a meal everyday here for about 13 or 14 years now. She was here long before Buffy ever showed up. But Buffy is protecting her home front. I have had to break them up a couple times over the years, but for the most part they just hiss at each other.

I remember buying a mole trap years ago and you had to be a genius to figure out how it worked, I hope they make them less complicated these days.

I use one of these all the time. It's violent as hell, but gets the job done.
That model of trap has similarities but looks less complicated. Looks like they would get impaled on the pointy things. A strong spring to get the job done. I suppose it's good that it's violent, moles can be a big annoyance but I wouldn't want to see them suffer.

I don’t mind for now it’s just an old field. Let them have at it
I'd feel the same way, if they are not a bother leave them be.

Nice to see some photos of cookie the other day, she is such a sweet looking dog.

I find it kind of amusing how all your significant cannabis foliage has slimmed down to some small sealed up pouches.:)
I still have not got past the age of buds, hash and oil. Now, I don't know many of the products produced
