Exactly this , by the time we get a message from them they’ve probably been extinct for million years.It’s impossible to communicate. We are so very far away from each other. Tens ,dozens, hundreds, thousands, millions of light years could pass in the “time” it takes to say “hello how are you?“ … before we get one syllable into the conversation, the point will become mute
I was thinking just before while we were walking in the snow. It would be cool to come back as a space dragon made of light that could fly through the galaxy on an almost informal it’s time scale
ruining space...pretty soon there will be so much junk in orbit we'll be stuck on the surface

Good morning another beautiful winter day I got a list of chores to do and I’m making progress I’ve got an interior guy coming after New Year’s to check out the village home we’re gonna take it one room at a time and then I’ve got my line on an outfit and it’s the only one around to jack up the farmhouse and completely replace the foundation all the way up to the subfloor it’s gonna be a massive undertaking if I decide to do this I’m gonna be bone dry of money but it will be an investment and in the meantime I reached out to Memorial Sloan Kettering and I’m out of network but in order to get A comprehensive consultation for a second opinion I need to get a referral from my primary care doctor to see if that’s even a possibility but getting the information is like pulling teeth have been on the phone all morning waiting for a callback now I got to do a big food shopping ...
