Can you get yellow Rosen straight from flower? do you have to make hash first and then press the hash? I think that’s what @Itsmychoice does?
The best looking rosin does usually seem to be made with hash but the old rosin thread has plenty of examples that were pressed directly from flower that are certainly not yellow.

I don't do any pressing myself but I'm all for it as a safer alternative to BHO.

You may be doing this already, but there is a lot of goodness left in the pucks after you squish them. Toss them in a pot, add butter and water, and simmer and stir for 5 hours. Make cookies.
I’ve got a ziplock bag in the freezer getting full of them…probably will make some cookies and gummies

If you don’t feel like hashing it you can get nice squish out of flower. Just get all the stem out of it and use 90-120 micron bag. Anything smaller micron and you lose taste, greater and you get more chlorophyll but 160 micron still puts out good color sometimes. The easier you treat it the better, don’t grind it, snip it into small pieces, and of course remove all leaves.

I’m copying and pasting these instructions to my friend who has the Nug smasher

I usually just weigh out some flower for the bag…I’ve got 3.5, 7 and 14 gram bags…then just stuff the bags with buds (no snipping)…another thing I do is tuck the corners of the bag in which will make the bag more like a cylinder and it will press like an accordian...that is called bottle-tech style

Have you been able to figure out what’s what with the cubes…I know your labeling had sorta washed away
I scrapped that last run the only thing I salvaged was the Platinum ... Cubes are easy I was just being a nitwit you have to treat it just like flood and drain they can hold for 12 hours at a time it’s a simple method got it down now

Mine was from flower, 100micron @ 190F for 4-6min. Im just running through last years outdoor and kept it from drying too much. Out of 6 strains i ran 4 make nice golden yellow rosin this way, others are a tiny darker/more brown. I need to use the wash bags cuz I have pounds to get through but no time. I press on a manual piece of shit press, if you have real fire and a real press youll kill it haha.

You should look up bottle tech method- rosin bags are rectangular but a circle will be the smallest possible surface area vs that same mass in a square shape, you want this because smaller area=higher psi and less surface area for the rosin to get trapped inside the bag. Like people said tuck in the corners of the bag if your using that style of bag, if either the top or bottom corner is flared outwards compared to the bud in the bag this is where rosin will pool inside the bag and you will lose yields. Pre-pressing helps a lot to get a consistent density of bud inside/throughout and is half the setup. Vids online can really help give good visuals.

The brush cutter just ate it up today , learned not to use it too hard because even though it’s a pretty beastly machine if I push it too much things can go wrong anyways I’m home All cleaned up , but I still feel I’m running that machine
