You would think by now the industry would see the writing on the wall
I think it's a process. Let the market completely crash. Some will succeed some will fail. Once nobody has any reason to smuggle weed from one state to another and all the customers get used to mass produced weed. Then I suspect high grade flowers will start fetching a better price.

I like growing big plants as well but I’d rather harvest four times as many smaller plants. My back would thank me.

Clones are starting to shape up it’s not gonna be a complete mono crop It’s gonna be a little bit of this and a little bit of that in there at slightly different stages so it’s not totally organized the way that I would’ve liked to have it but it is what it is…. Me and the rooms have to work with each other … we each dictate to the other

I put the tick collar on cookie yesterday and I’m keeping it on

It’s crazy every legal state goes to shit within a few years for marijuana people
What chemicals are going in from that collar? I’m scared of that kind of stuff.

That electric bill, those property taxes. Damn, terrible place to retire it seems. Can’t you get your farm taxed like a farm? Farms are cheap tax wise.

my prediction is that in NY this year weed is so cheap on the black market that non-weed business will start to give it away to get you to buy their pizza, or whatever they are selling.

if a local pizza spot or deli starts gifting a preroll or 2 with every $15 purchase don't you think they could grab hella business? free weed when you fill up your car. in 5 years stores will be passing out free joints just to get you in the door and god knows what tactics they will use to protect the permitted market.

I still think the THC excise tax will break the legal market in NY so maybe the investors won't even try to play the game here. paying an extra THC tax of $600-800 a pound on top shelf flower will never work in the current market.

top quality on the black market is so rare these days that the prices might hold on. it's not easy to find around me...

As soon a lots of people started growing and the first dispensaries opened prices dropped from 4800 and up down to 24-32 really quick. And it took a few years before they really dropped much further. I was convinced I could get rid of zips for 200 forever as long as the low quality was going for 100. I actually reduced what I was growing because I decided I could make the same amount selling zips than I could keeping up with the people always asking for a lower price on weight. And it worked for a few years. Eventually the shitty growers quit or learned to grow better weed. And decent clones got passed around so everyone with a yard grows decent weed.

I think you are safe for a few years in NY. And depending on the local buyers you might last a long time. We have an abundance of non wealthy do it your self types. Instead of pretentious rich people.
