Berner finds the best companies to collaborate with on new and exciting genetics. The Eye Candy strain, or ïCandy, is Cookies and Compound Genetics’ take on an incredibly sugary cultivar. Since this drop is coming soon, there’s still a veil of mystique surrounding the strain. In the past, fire companies like Exotic Genetix have bred an Eye Candy strain with their Tina and Wedding Cake. Bernersaid in a recent Instagram post about the new strain that the Gelatti popped hard. From this, we can assume Cookies and Compound’s offering is a Wedding Cake and Gelatti cross.
The nugs on the Eye Candy strain are almost hidden by the sopping wet trichome coverage that spans every gap. The foliage is a mixture of light and dark green with purple and blue hues evenly interwoven. You’ll notice the pistils are an earthy orange color and lend to the attention-grabbing quality of the strain. Just looking at it, you can tell it reeks of bright and sweet gas that has hints of lemon and berries. Berner also mentions in his post that the Eye Candy has a crazy shelf life. He says it’s still fresh after four or five months in a mason jar.
Since Berner and Compound’s Eye Candy is a cross between the Gelatti and Wedding Cake, I can make a solid guess at the terps. Based on the look and description of the strain from Berner in an Instagram post, it seems like it would have limonene and myrcene. When you bring the Wedding Cake and Gelatti together cross, it would make sense for it to have some gassy sweet zest. The funky diesel the strain exhibits could also represent a presence of beta-caryophyllene.

Smoking on some of the Eye Candy strain might bring about a heady uplifting high. The potential limonene in it may wash away your anxiety and ease you into a warm, embracing high. This is an indica-leaning strain that may also lend some pain relief when you smoke a bit more.
Be careful though, because these nugs are not playing around and appear terribly rich in THC and terps. Keep an eye out for when Cookies and Compound Genetics make the drop in California.
