Stop feeding them! It's good that the leafs die yellow at the end,, remove any dead leaf from the area ,, water slightly less and watch them swell for another for days!!

buds are spittin out a few new pistils but was wondering if it is the Cheese cross, will that make it a shorter flowering strain?

Yes. the Cheese hybrids finish 77days , some of the SSH F2 #s are quicker finishing than other #s,, around 65days,, just like the mother plants.

.....Is it time to chop?

Take a lower node off and wait for the flowers to swell.

Gotcha will flush tonight, just thought since it was SSH that it would go 10+ weeks, I have never grown out hazes so i wasnt sure if it just needed extra nitrogen. Gonna flush and let it continue yellowing. No nutes and less water, gotcha. Thanx for all the advice.

Docleaf, thanks for your reply...it is what I was hoping for and I have a full blood sshf2 male, no hermi. As it transitioned to flower (male) it was throwing a few thorn pistils around new branches which confused me in my noobness. I like to make hobby beans for my own use. This plant is the prize-winner in my 2010 garden in terms of growth rate, structure, and smell. All the main branches are cut and in water for pollen collection, it'll be dusting 4sd, sour dubble and godbud branches soon. Thanks again!

i've been smoking my last few buds of this ssh f2 with some friends-one person described it like being in a hippies house in the 70s-it is the incense aroma-another described it (without propmting) as pot pourri. I've got my last bud here-cured for 2 months or so-the smell gets more of a tang with time. The floral notes are still there but a tangerine like smell is getting stronger.
I think that it is the straight ssh that I have because of the smell and growth pattern but you never know-TBH it doesn't make any difference-it is the plant that i am interested in not the label

i've got 4 that are about to go into flower-love it

cheers Doc here is one in veg. It is 5'5" tall. I'm about to repot into 50L of coir/pearlite and flower it. My friends are freaking out-saying 'ssh-nightmare to grow-got to flower it at like 3inches height'-fucking lightweights lol

shes a fast finisher grew her from seed she took about 10 week to finish i revegged her and took some cuts and there finishing in 8 to 9 weeks and shes put on alot more thc from the first grow

I was about to paste you a link to this thread.. lol but it's great to see you are already on it This thread pretty much well documents the range displayed in these SSH F2 freebie seeds (Cheese x SSH mix-ups aside)... from 65days to 100+days... all look excellent,, and still ring true to the works of the breeders involved,, and more importantly the smoke and mindful vibe it gives

8weeks-i'm going to take them to 10ish. I have noticed on the last couple of runs that although many of the buds look as if they have finished around 8-if you look at them with a microscope the trichs are still growing and maturing. Trichs definatly come later with this strain-everytime i do it i worry at 5-6 weeks because the buds form with comparitivly few trichs-but by 10 they are covered.

I plan to try some Mr.Nice SSH in the near future as running this X has left me wanting to try more SSH.

The light green plants are SSH F2s at a friends place, underwatered so way short of the size they could be, quality should be pretty good though.
