to all those with thrips....
monterey garden insect spray is all u need. its new, contains the bacteria spinosad, and wipes them out after 2 applications. do a search on here if u doubt me, but i picked some up for my sr clones and it works wonders

Hey is this guerilla1018? If not sorry, Just wondering.

wish i was in cali so i could go somewhere to pick up cuts. what a luxury.
LOL...there's some good stuff in the clubs but usually you have to wade through a bunch of garbage to find the good stuff. SR's gear seems pretty solid but that's the exception and not the norm for Cali. I've gotten club stuff and it was downright CRAP. I now go with seedstock to look for a keeper or get qualified cuts from friends.

anyone else have experience with the SR white widow? ive heard that it stretches alot and ive also heard it doesnt stretch much at all.

Guys I have an good grow going, started to get a tiny bit of PM late in flower with all the rain moisture lateleyl I found a thread here and hit them with Dutch Master Penetrator in combination with Zone in a foiler, and this really keeps it at bay. Better than anything I've used in the past. This is really a good find.

so i'm hoping that thrips are all that plague sr's cuts ( i found out that that monterey garden insect spray wipes them out after a few sprays) cuz im gunna pick up some more clones tomorrow. hopefully 8 30 is early enough to snag some hks....i heard they wont have DCxSC for a month? anyways, will report back on the cuts i recieve and if theyre infested with anything other than thrips

Widow stretches pretty good, if you flower it just in time and cut the lower branching it will produce one fat top cola perfect for sea of green if you can master the technique..

8:30am? What time does the place open up? You just sit around in Oakland for over an hour waiting? During this time you must have cash on you in order to pay for the clones, sounds like a jacking waiting to happen, but I hope not. Anyway, what number did you end up getting and what cuts? Peace

if you're worried about getting jacked, then simply get there park either right in front, or right across the street or somewhere you can see the front of blue sky.

m-f opens at 9am, sat & sun 10am.

also getting there at 8:30am there will be already be people there waiting, safety in numbers you know.

also plus, you can always stash your cash leave it in your ride and get out and wait in line for it to open up, then get you number, then make it back to get your cash you know... :joint:

There is more than thrips, thats the least of your worries, LOL.. Strawberry mites, and some super bug, Im bringing a pic to my Horticulture proffessor I got them from my mothers plants last august.. No way to kill these buggers they are in the growing medium and kill your root system..

Superbug

Here they are, hopefully everyone can work together to solve this problem. Unity is the key, obviously someone doesn't want to see other people successful. These probs all started when sr had there little run in with* the law in aug. When they had to change there name to blue sky!! If anyone can identify this bug let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^^^^I'm behind ya clark420. I know that SR71 is carrying "some type" of mite that is very hard to kill. Don't know exactly what it is, but I know it's not thripes, and regular mites...

Unless some major changes happened SR's mothers are probably still infested. The pest is pretty much the same just smaller and usually white. They're ALL over the coco that they use in those large pots. Watch for small white pests running along, and thru, the top of the coco. Also take some pinches of the medium from the openings in the bottom then place the medium on some dark surface and just stare for a sec - you'll see em. If you see nothing let me know and i'll probably buy some more PK mothers. Buuuut.. in all honesty this strawberry mites thing has me spooked to even touch a clone from there right now

Here's an old post from 9-7-07 when i first noticed these things

A friend just bought a hk x skunk mother to my house and it was infested with Root Aphids. I thought i was crazy at first thinking to myself "Is the coco moving or am i trippin?!" Further inspection showed a LOTS of aphids in the root zone and along the top layer of the medium :noway: Of curse i scrapped the mother so there goes 80 bones down the toilet

I usually have to be careful with pm from sr71 and thats really easy to quarantine but in my experience root aphids are almost impossible to get rid of without totally replacing your plants with new ones after you've bombed the room.

Another heads upf or cali heads: The small pyrethrum bombs are banned from cali so grab em while you can. I use these to bomb my rooms weekly/bi-weekly and i've been Aphid and mite free in an area that's notorious for root aphids for months now. Goin to buy a few bombs now, late

Hey what brand of bombs are you getting, s4vvy. IM spraying right now I bombed some ones that were 12 percent pyrethrin, if you have a certain brand you use let me know. A nd 2 los gangelas fuck you bro, I'll be at sr tom, if you got beef bring it, cant miss me 6'5 210, Ill be wereing an oaksterdam shirt. And 2 set the record straight sr-71 is the sraightest club around Im just trying to solve a problem that I recieved from there mothers in Aug. Hey guys I sent an email with that pic to my horticulture professor, will see what he says..

Sup Clark i use the Pyrethrin Bombs. TR - somethin sry man i'm tired as hell and can't remember the name. In hindsight if Bug Buster O, which has pyrethrin in it, can't kill these things when used as a root drench. Maybe the bombs aren't that great either. In my experience with these things once i bombed the room i kinda let the room have a plant-free break so maybe the remaining ones died of starvation. Not saying it's true but we can't rule it out. My next plan is a one of those raid/black flag roach bombs for the room after i clean it up. Keep us posted on your progress

Do the thrips seem to be on one strain more than others? I have seen some HKxS that was purchased about 2.5 months ago and now it is ready for harvest with no mites.
