No topping.
This strain grows short and squat not unlike urkle.
So topping is not necessary.
Also it is already pretty bushy.
Just veg it as long as possible and flower it, just like you would urkle.
Nice yield for a small plant though.
Thanks man.

My buddy just finished some of these SR71 PK's I gave him. For anyone thats not already aware, this strain is Ultraviolet from k at trichome tech. All I can say is spectacular, we found it to be more dense, better smelling and tastier than most of the other purple cuts in the bay area. THANKS SCRAPPY!. Anywho, a friend has some of these that are 2 weeks into veg with co2 in a sealed room, I'll take some pics today and post them. They are the bushiest little girls I have ever seen...its like the 70's all over again.

Jdog that looks alot like a lavender cut but you know the lavender its a real incense taste or atleast the version i have seen.

Those buds have the "mendo purps" look to them imo. Or atleast the pheno i have. Very purple calayx, orange hairs , has more of a sour taste then grape.

Here's a nug of gg that i did. Really really nice plant, grows faster then most other purps, has a little stretch which is nice, no grapes though really, more of a sour/skunk , but still nice dense nugs..

It's some sort of Urkle knock-off, maybe an s1. I grow Urkle and PK side by side, they look identical. The difference is in the smoke. Urkle tastes good right away. PK needs a 2-3 week cure to taste good. Urkle is quite a bit more potent.

PK is an excellent commercial purple though:

GodsGift is my favorite of the NoCal purps.

Ya, the Purple Kush has a totally incense type of smell.
Lavender incense is what I'd call it.
But I'm sure it will have some more kushy undertones too.
But I'm very happy with it so far.
Gods Gift is killer bud too.

Purple kush

Purple kush

I know the guy that gave SR-71 their purple kush mom. He told them it was Purple Urkle and thats exactly what it is. For whatever reason they decided to call it purple kush.

looks dead up like urkle to me. an s1 or hybrid seems likely from the looks.

when i first had the purple kush it grew taller and less bushy compared to urkle but the buds looked close to identical. I grew that purp kush and urkle next to each other and they were diffent....the exact same pk cut as purpleplayers. this was maybe 8 months ago...not sure. the recent descriptions sound more like urkle though so maybe they do have more than one "purple kush"

What a trip Joe.
Mine doesn't seem to be doing that.
Maybe it's a coco thing?

Forty Grit, I'm not sure why that PK is so much bigger then the urkle.
My SR71 PK came from a different person then Joes and it is the same clone.
It's obvious.
It does stretch a little more then urkle and it has more of a Kush structure then urkle also. But it is a very indica stout plant compared to my other clones. Urkle and maybe Bubba are the only other clones I have that are just as stout.
But it still looks alot like urkle. Or an urkle hybrid.
Even though it isn't.
But anyway, I am 100% sure my PK is the sr71.
So not sure what your saying. But it's all good.
Simple mistake.

You can't tell anything from a veg pic.
VT may have vegged that PK way longer then the urkle.
So that pic doesn't help much.
It also looks like the PK in that pic is starting to flower and the urkle is still in veg.
So.

Road trip;)7-14 days.:)
i think i like not knowing the exact day i put her in.....then she has to tell me exactly when shes ready...i think different gardens vary on the exact times for flower....?

Ya, I'm not to strict about what day I harvest.
I go off of what the plant tells me. It depends on how it was fed and stuff too.
Underfed plants take longer to finish thyen healthy well fed plants.
I imagine the same goes for over fed plants?

Anyway, I'm ready to come up anytime ,bro.
I can't wait.
Here is my SR71 PK now...
