Spider mites in Flowering

I went on vacation to come back and find my grow is infested with spider mites. I have 10 plants at different stages of flowering with the youngest being 5 weeks flowering and the oldest ones ready for harvest any day now. Do I have to scrap the whole grow? please any suggestions will be appreciated.

Do not trash your ladies booger!!! Go buy some orgaincide to spray threm with. You mix 1oz per gal, then you put it in a sprayer and let those fuckers have it :dueling: . Seriously no worries sprayin during flowering that stuff is awesome. order it online if you dont have retailer near you. Best wishes to you and your ladies. Oh and shame on you :spank: for even thinking of hurting some females

I have also used organicide at all stages of growth. The mixture that I use is 2 oz per gallon and I also use Dutch Master penetrator in the mix. Knocks out anything :headbange

I don't spray and then imediately harvest, the fish smell last 2-3 days and with a good couple mistings with water it goes away

Won't the organicide make the buds smell like fish? you could drop a Hot shot nopest strip in there and forget about it.
Spider mites and NO PEST strips??? Have you ever tried this??? :bashhead: NO would be my guess. Because they dont work for shit with spider mites!! And yeah your buds might smell for a few days but that s better than the alternative.

I've completed a couple of grows while infected with mites.
I used SB Plant Invigorator. It's a contact killer (soap-based) which you can use during flowering, and has the extra advantages that it's GOOD for the plant, biodegradable, and you can practically spray and harvest.

Obviously, not an ideal solution (ideal=no mites), but makes the whole thing pretty liveable with. I am now even using it preventatively, even though there are no mites.

I know it's available in the UK, don't know about elsewhere.
You have to be a bit careful if leaves are placed wet under the HPS - they will burn. Best to spray at lights-off, or allow a drying period before lights-on.

Thanks everyone. I found the organicide online. I will order some. Is there anything I can get locally in a hurry? This is a bummer as these are clones from the first set that I have already harvested. Basically there are 4 Aurora Indica, 4 Cali O, and 2 AK 48. The only thing I have no is a 3 in 1 that is neem oil based. My main concern is there is 1 Aurora and 1 Cali O that are both almost 50% amber. Can you get all of the mites off at harvest? Thanks again!!!

Yes, and have been using them repeatedly for years with 100% effectiveness. There are a lot of people here who can attest to Hot Shot NOPest strips working wonderfully. No odor, no residue, 24-48 hours and everything crawling and flying is dead. The active ingredient breaks down to nothing after about a week or 2. The active ingredient does not accumulate in plants or animals. It is called Dichlorvos.

totally harmless and they only cost 6 bucks.

When using No Pest Strips, your room must be sealed up. If you've got in/out fans running, then you wont let the strips work. It's kinda like a fogger, you must let the chemical build up in the room enough to be lethal. As always a combination of methods will work best. I use a combo of neem, no pest strips, and sm-90 or smc.
I would also use a high pressure sprayer and spray the flowering plants with cool water until you get the Organicide or other spray-on product. For the seedlings and small vegging plants dunk them upside down in some Pyrethrum (sp?) like Dont Bug Me. I hope it all works out, sorry about the mites. But, I have faith in you...
PS- If you can cool your room down a bit it will slow those fuckers down...

cover bottom of plant w/newspaper/or cloth to catch and remove mites. get sparyer w/cool water and knock them off. you must spray throughly. this works. it's cheap and easily repeated. which you will need to do.

do you have webs?

Probably would have been good of us to determine what type of growroom you have, and whether strips would work for your situation. So, what is it like? Lights on at night? how hot does it get in there during the day? Are fans blowing air in/out of the room 24/7? If mites were bad enough, I would turn off my lights a couple days to let the strips work. I like organocide, it is an effective treatment, I just hesitate to use it late into flowering because it can leave an unpleasant odor and getting your buds wet can cause mold quickly, but stinkfinger and others are right, that's good stuff for all kinds of different problems.

How bad are the plants infested? Bud tops coated with a silky web? Are they mainly doing there webs on the leaves? Would a vacuum, with something to block the flow on the end, creating a softer vacuum work?
