Southern Star Seeds Grow

Lesnah the Chopper Read was germinated very early September 2016, I reckon by late April to mid May could be time to start looking at a harvest. Time will tell.
Excited by the progress of this girl, it should be a good one.
Very early days though and the plant is showing a lot of resin formation which I believe may be promising.

Thanks Thai Bliss, I follow your work and very much enjoy the tales of this difficult endeavour.
This one is ever so graceful if there is such a thing with a plant, have a love affair with this sativa it's a finicky girl.
The very high temperatures this year have been a challenge, I guess this makes it all the more satisfying when the garden works.
Another huge plus is the pleasure derived from this practice.

So roughly an 8 months plant. If I recall correctly, Chopper Read has Mullum Madness and Colorado Green Bud in its lineage right? Man you are lucky mate, they sport a silver tinge to the flowers, very elegant. I have about 5 seeds of Mullum Madness, if they turn out to be anything like the chopper read plants you grow I'll be stoked.

The mullum southern uses is actually a 90's widow x mullum,
great plant,
has everything genetically that is not available via commercial seedbanks,
not trying to cause crap, only narrowing the lineage down further:)

Not sure how you know of this, but man that sounds interesting. Can you elaborate on "Has everything genetically that is not available via commercial seedbanks"?

I get the feeling you either know the SSS breeder/s or know someone close to him/them.

An old school widow crossed with a Mullum sativa sounds like Shanti's work which speaks for themselves as well.

Got tired of waiting for new situation to kick off, so I decided to do a germination test on my home made Nanan seeds...

Looks like a pair of wings lol, I'm guessing this is the Haitian Pheno.

I'm going to attempt to grow some Nanan Bouclou at 42 degrees north (Mediterranean climate):

If they turn out half as nicely grown as that Chopper Read, I'll be jumping for joy!

Yea, looking good so far Thai Bliss....

@ Uni, I saw the other pics you posted at the other thread, you have a idas touch with these varieties ;-]

Here's the "BirdWing pheno/mutation of the NB...

One side of the second pair of leaves seems to have 3 fingers.

Picture quality is lacking due to using my phone's camera.

Hi L yes that's us, keeper as in keepers in every pack but SS took it as wicket keeper hence the Yorker name! The last run we did was a 4SD Male x White Fire, Sour Bubble, Chem4OG, Fire Og x White Hp (gifted from Krome of Swampboys Seeds) 4SD (f2's) and a few others. The 4SD male reeked like an old school skunk from the 90's and had an amazing structure. When I found him I scrapped my plans to to a full room flower run and let him pollinate every keeper female I had. There's some really nice phenos popping up, I've found bang on Manderine smelling plants in the 4SD f2's that would give any of the tangie strains a run for there money. Strong terps and the high is blistering! Cheers Kit.

I get a great deal of happiness just from growing this plant, no problems at all with hermaphroditic tendencies. Very strong female that stays true to form.
Can't fault it in any way, the plant deals easily with the extreme high temperatures of summer then transitions beautifully into the seasonal change.
The quality of the smoke is spoken very highly of by those that partake, unfortunately I have only indulged once a year ago given work commitments.
It really is just a joy to behold.
