You think that variegation is something similar to what the chemD cut has? Seems like the fix is the same. If I up the mg and n it mostly goes away.

If you can improve your Chem D with the same fix then most likely the same issues. I'm 100% confident if I keep trying different levels I can get it to completely go away.

Okay, here are a couple pics of leaves that have the camo look to them. This is about as bad as it gets on my plants.

It's nothing that I concern myself with. Plants grow just fine and bud fine so really I couldn't care less about it.

That might be a way to ID her?. If you see this and its suppose to be Sdubb. The odds of her being real are much improved.

The s1's seem to be more sensitive to different EC levels.. I'm not a heavy feeder. When I push my plants I only change the EC level by .3 max.. I use 1EC most of the time. So when I boost I only increase it to 1.3EC and add kelp/humic acid both high in P. This is all I do. I don't use any kind of bud boosters. The s1's are sensitive @1.3EC..I'm trying to find out at what EC level the s1's start to get pissed off. I will start the next run at .8ec then increase to 1.1ec + kelp/humic as my boost level @ weeks 4 and 6 ...

I also just picked up some more V&B Dirty for the coco plants .... I will test this vs what I have been doing. I don't think I will see much if any yield increase.

the best thing you can do to keep her healthy is to keep her on the dry side my sour dub is old and still looks like she came out of seed stock a few months ago.

Having happy healthy plants is always our #1 goal..Some plants require more MG/N then most. Mine has to be feed a higher dose starting very young.. As long as there in veg I can fix the problem. Once they go to flower its hard to fix it. S1-100 doesn't have the como trait. I have a few more #3 to complete, No more cut's will be taken from #3 she will get culled unless someone rescues her lol. Be careful with #100, IMO super potent, I cant smoke her..

Anyone know how she does with defoliation? I'll be finding out for myself soon enough as last night I decided to completely strip one of all fans. She gets so dense that no light gets in to the lower buds so I figured I'd figure it out. They are both the same size so I'll know if it helps or hurts in another month.

Also got this pic from my last/first crop. Pic not taken by me.

90% sativa!!! I thought it only took 8-10 weeks to finish not 14-15. Gonna be putting one into flower tonight or tomorrow night. I can't be waiting 4 months though for it to finish, lol!

She has the camo thing going on in a couple of the leaves. Super fat fan leaves as well. Does she like her root space like the Glue does? First time flowering her.

Lol yeah, I used to include genetic crosses when donating packs to clubs but they would always get it wrong anyway.

Oh yeah, she's great at eight weeks.

is sour dubb's stems brittle (maybe brittle is the wrong word.... just very easy to snap)? i can't bend this bitch around without snapping stems. i noticed a pheno of death star x sour dubb i kept is like that too.

When my dubbs are healthy the branches are actually pretty flexable.
i can bend them down without crushing em first.
but if they get messed up/deficient, they will snap when not crushed first.
If your plants are healthy and the branches are snapping super easily, that would make me curious.

Anyone know how she does with defoliation?

She does good with it, ime.
but i don't strip them all off at once.
I just flipped a 4 plant dubb monocrop, and ill be slowly pullin off fans for the next few weeks.
Im hoping to get them to yield half as good as you, and ill be GEEKED!:tiphat:

The 1st couple inches of a top can be bent.. The farther you get away from the top it becomes firm. If I tried that at 5" it would snap.. This is a small one going in flower. Nothing but small cuttings in veg now.

Super interesting thread good people .... Appreciate the info

Impressive plants in here
I once had a s1 or a s2 of a alien rock candy ( each plant would toss 1 seed ) that produced some of what I would think is pretty close to sour dubs as its being described here. The final product was really dense thou like a gsc nug ?
The yield was horrible so after a few head stash runs I let it go

Here are a few pics of my defoliating job. I really went at her hard just to see what will happen. A lot more light is getting into the canopy that is for sure. These two were pretty much twins so if there is any significant difference in the final outcome it will certainly be attributed to the stripping.

I realize I may have screwed myself by doing this but there is only one way to learn firsthand, just do it! It's just one plant so if it's off a little it's not going to hurt in the grand scheme of things. She is looking great after a couple day and still drinking so all is well.

These pics were all at the 28 day mark so half way home...
