Sour Diesel (Sour D) - Upstate NY 2000/01

Is this your first run with them or do you have a smoke report? Even if it is from a decade old memory...

Just realised I wasn't clear on the strain.
The destroyerXSD

Last time I grew Destroyer x Sour D (F) had to be 5-6 years ago. Then lean either toward the Sour D or a fruity tropical type terp plant, both versions are very strong, initial onset can induce paranoia in lightweights then levels out. They last quite long and the comedown isn’t bad but not exceptional either.

I don’t ever recall having one smell bang on for the Sour D like 1/2 pictured above so I’m intrigued how she’ll finish out. In the past I recall taller more NLD plants leaning more destroyer vs these two but it’s also packed full in that room and they began smaller than some @ it so likely were stunted. I have a buddy who’s an old head from the scene grow them on the big island HI in his GH, he spoke highly of them which is rare for most things he gets from the outside world, they are sexy girls for sure, I was just admiring them - ha

It’s from seeds I made (very uniform I’m finding) - 2000 CNY Sour D x Chaco Sour D / MHz -

I selected the male from a handful of studs, male side equation seeds were gifted to me from my good friend @Donald Mallard, many thx again brother

SSD - just beautiful plants, gonna be potent, so easy to grow

This is one that smells very much like Sour D, has a solid old school Skunk architecture to her imo, flowers gonna get big & hard I’m expecting

TY, I rarely move lights, as they are now 3-4 feet above plants depending on which ones, my basement has very tall ceilings which I’m fortunate to have.

maybe i have my lights toooo close to the tops - 5x5ft tent, mars fce8000 at about 60pct power in vegg... i have the light about 2feet over the top... maybe tooo close??

Sweet & Sour D - The one flopping over most smells bang on for Sour D - The 25% Mhz definitely reduced calyx size but these are beautiful plants - some smell glue like, others sweet with underlying skunkiness and the one all Sour D

Sweet & Sour D Filling in well, dense as Fk, getting floppy, early tester arm on most pure smelling Sour D of the Six is very positive thus far, it’s bang on for late 90’s / early 2000’s upstate NY Sour D

Turned out great though were extremely heavily seeded by end but I took enough cleaner top colas as testers, everyone had cured up nicely & all at least have some Sour in them some Dom, I broke into 3 categories iirc Sour Dom, Sour Fruity & Sour Skunk / Chem / Fuel, the oil from them all blended is awesome…

They all have that unique & special Sour taste, I love to smoke them 8pm on but my day smoke are SE Asians or other equatorial Sativas, giddy up !

There was also a incredible one that tasted of Caramel, Molasses but with a very strong undertone of sour D and the special after taste of Sour D.... It's one of my favorite buckets to turn to lately, even during the day
