Morning OH, hey you are really getting that camera dialed in. Those are some excellent pictures! Those clones look healthy. It's amazing what you can do in a few short months. Props!
Boink ~ My bud. Whats up. I'm sitting here dyin to get my check from the tax man. I need it soon. I might have to buy my tix preemptively and hope I get everything the tax guys said I would. Either way...
Ya my camera does take some good shots. CC should me the basics of not using the auto feature and the rest has simply been experimental. Auto is for lazy people! lol. Talk to you soon.
Bigmo Whats up
Later OH
The guardians of the closet- This pic was in AUTO!!! lol. Later OH
Here is the Sharon clone. A selection from a White Widow mother. (TRC)
Here is the Schrom clone. This strain was created by Schrooomy420. An intense soaring high. Full flavored and great burn. This thing just looks so healthy already.
Here are the ECSD clones. I've yet to smoke any but I'm super stoked.
My seedlings are doing great as well.
This is a weird shot of Schrom. I call it "Schrom on Mars"
I've been lucky enough to make a few great friends here on IC. They seem to believe and trust in me and that makes it all just that much more worth it. I'm most excited to think that one day I, myself, might be in their seat helping someone as much as they have possibly helped me. It's certainly one of the biggest motivators for me. You get back what you put in. Thanks for stopping by FJ. Hope you like the garden. Later OH
I've got a Canon G6. The pictures of the clones were snapshots and using no tripod. It is essential to have a tripod for high-rez photos. Does your camera allow you to adjust f-stop/shutter speed, things like that? Another thing you'll want to do is adjust to tungsten lighting if your taking pics indoors/under the lights.
*I'm on for a while so we can keep this conversation going.
I, fortunately, missed the events of Friendlyfriend but have heard some of things that happened. It is to bad people like that are around here but I think after a while you'll see my direction and goal, along with my devotion and work-ethic. Later OH
My camera is not new but does have all of those features, it is a Fuji S5000 6.0 megapixel. I bought a package deal that included filters, (don't know what uses they have.) Tripod, Wideangle lens with Macro, Telephoto Lens etc. I have played till I am blue in the face and still haven't touched all the settings.
Great! 6.0. I'm not familliar with that particular model but here are a few tricks to taking a nice shot. (Thanks CC!) Using the tripod setup for a shot. Use a setting that will allow you to adjust the shutter speed and lighting. With alright light I generally set the shutter speed to 2"/3". With no flash. Also using a 2 or 10 second delay on the actual photo is good. It allows for the vibrations or movement to stop before it snaps.
It's simple, OHenry helped me with FPN - he was the first of ALL the members to offer services. He also happened to live close enough for a good relationship to build. You might say God, or the powers that be chose him to have these clones. Can't argue that now. And if you don't have these clones yet, well, God, or the powers to be haven't seen fit to drop them on ya yet. Doesn't mean they won't some day...
I finally booked all my reservations for the trip to Amsterdam. This is my maiden voyage to this great place and my excitement and anticipation can not be concealed. I fill the air with talk about going during almost every concievable moment of silence. It's like a disease. A good one Not like a rash or anything.
One of the more exciting things I am looking forward to are the chances for great photography. Historic buildings, brick/stone work, and classical architecture are going to be jumping into focus day after day. My youngest brother has spent time in the Dam and has expressed how diverse and interesting the buildings and surround strucutres are. YES! The canals and city streets should also present themselves as great subjects. So much to be excited about.
Of course...with going I am leaving my girls to the care of someone else. I've heard nightmarish stories of grow room set-backs and/or failure because of that same reasoning. I'm nervous to say the least but a few well laid out tables and schedules that'll be properly explained should do the trick. Only time can tell. I've got confidence.
All that said...I've got alot of work ahead of me including stabilizing the new clones (including transplants before trip), insuring proper root development on my seedlings, and harvest my original grow! Although all three tasks sound rather exciting the later of the three is the one that gets me going. Some Sour Diesel and Super Skunk will be curing oh so nicely as I fly across the oceans to the epic week ahead. I'm expecting to smoke something abnormally oversized on the way to the airport. Certainly an excellent way to set off to sea.
Not only good pot but good friends is what I'll find in the Dam. A reuniting of myself and Boink is sure to make this week even more enjoyable. As some may know, Boink is the reason I know about IC. If it were not for an over-priced business meeting I would surely be at home on 4/20! Thanks again my man.
If anyone's wondering why or how I've managed to get you to read to this point ask yourself this queston "Why the hell did I read all this?" Thanks for stepping into my world. I owe the last 5 minutes of rambling to some great Schrom. Nice joint will do you in and get the juices flowing. Later OH
*Stay tuned for some new pics. (Up-Close and Personal *trichs)
These are some new pics taken with natural light. It is not often that I have a chance to take pictures with natural light in the room. It is still in the experimental stage to say the least but I am happy with the outcomes so far.
This is the Sour Diesel
This is what it may look like after smoking it!
These Three are the Super Skunks.
The subject matter is getting better day-by-day. I'm looking forward to the next couple weeks as the buds are sure to begin swelling and oooozzzing with resin! LAter OH
Shit there's so much love in this thread it makes me giddy. OH what can I say bro. Good things happen to good people. Pictures are looking great. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to more. Nothin but the best.
Boink my man! Thanks for the compliments. I'm putting alot of energy into my grow and I'm glad it's showing through. That picture of the SD is , in my opinion, the best picture I've taken to this point. Natural light is a whole different ballgame. It'll be a priority of mine to take advantage of more natural light backdrops. Keep stoppin by....I promise there will much much much more. Later OH
The clones are coming along. They look very healthy. This is the first time I'll be rooting clones myself. I anticipated a quicker showing of the roots but was informed that generally it's a week or so before they'll show signs of roots. I'm giving them a daily dose of h2o and a light misting. Them seem to be enjoying the temp and humidity levels as well. I'll keep ya posted. The seedlings are doing great and I'll have updated pictures tonight or tomorrow! Stay tuned...Later OH
