hey guys...nice to see some familiar faces :) I thought I would mention too that the ECSD,HI, and SC are all getting Purple Maxx this round too. :pointlaug I liked the bushmaster sooo much that i thought I would give Purple Maxx a shot. I'm still not sold on it...but we will see. The dose I've been giving of PM is 1/2 teaspoon per gallon to the roots.

Great work Kokua. Very nice plants and great photography. Can you tell us more on the Blockhead, what did you think of it? What happened to the JH, and does that Hawaiian Indica smoke as good as it looks?

bonz...good to see you :) Yes the OG got the bushmaster treatment as well...all the plants are getting bushmaster around here. I took a look at your thread, and things look great btw!! It looked liked you had recently switched to 12/12. I'll tell you, I started the BM treatments one week before 12/12 and continued for 3 weeks 1x per week for a total of 3 treatments. I think you would still see good results where you are at. Start low with the dose and work your way up. I settled on about 3 mils per quart or so....give or take a mil or two :)

Ez...I like the blockhead, its good pot. I've definately had better. The taste borders on blah and has a subtle sweet tinge on the inhale. The exhale is bland with no lingering effects on the palate. The high is a bit like the taste...good at best. It starts off a bit racy with a buzz that is all in your eyes. Visual distortion is more noticable with this herb than with others I have tried. Not halucinationatory by any stretch, but I did see a few stars. Every time I have smoked this plant I feel like my head is being swarmed by fungus gnats...no lie! Little black non existant streaks shooting across my field of vision...kinda wierd really. Other than that I didn't notice anything that set this herb apart from the ho hum stuff you can find in any commercial bag of kind. I did not keep this particular pheno around. The Jack is still here...i'm really limited on space, so she will be next.

Good to see you too babba and Mo:wave:

I've got a new toy that I am playing with now. I have grown from seed, I have taken traditional cuttings (using several methods), I have successfully air layered and even grafted plants together. The final frontier...? Tissue culture :joint: I have procured a tissue culture kit and am in the process of learning the art of micropropation. As of today, I know very very little about the process. Give me a year to play with this stuff...I'll have it down. So...ANY TISSUE CULTURER'S OUT THERE? I could use all the helpfull hints I can get.

Hey Kokua Bro I love reading your threads always so much info. In fact you are solely responsible for the erradication of my thrip problem. Thanks for that. Oh it was the Monteray Garden spray with spinoside. One treatment and they are gone. THanks again for the tip.

I have been reading here and there about tissue culture and have looked at what is available. I have one question that always kept coming to mind when I would read what info was available. Seems that the products available to the public are geared toward a specific plant or type of plants. Ok the question Do the systems have to be taylored specifically for Cannabis. I know that is a vague question.

Heya Joe...nice to see you:) Thanks for all of your kind words...We're all having fun in the exhibit...no room for worries :joint: You fit right in

Mo...my man, so glad the Monteray spray worked for you like it has for me. I fought with those little buggers for 18 months before I found what worked...glad I was able to save you some time and money on that one :) To answer your question Mo...I am by no means an authority on this issue...far from it actually. But from what I have gathered so far...I would have to say that it appears that all plants are going to culture the same way. Same setup, same materials, same everthing except plant material. I can see how different plants would offer up different material to culture (nodes, leafs, petioles, etc..) but no difference in technique.

Thanks I also thought the same thing. Of course they can only speak for what is legal. As far as being a authority ... I trust your opinion on things because of your passion for this hobby of ours, it shows in all your stuff. So what kind of kit did you find? There are not alot of them available.

i remember when this was the big hype on OG.... the idea of sending clones the size of seeds.
do you got any pics of those grafted freaks? Was thinking of tryng this for shits and giggles... What did you manage to graft together? best of luck on the new technique,

I remember that too bart...I remember Steve from SOL telling everyone on CW how he was going to make seeds a thing of the past...I'm still waiting on that one. :pointlaug I can see what he was trying to do...and it is possible. I'm not sure how hairy the logistics/legality of shipping these little guys would be though...

I've been trying to keep my numbers down recently...I keep forgeting that this plant is illegal :badday: So with no extra girls to play with I have been experimenting with my legit garden. I have grafted all sorts of veggies...with tomato and peppers being the most popular. I got some basil to take on on of my maters last fall...that was pretty cool. :)

I am in the process of testing some different grafts with my mom material. I am going to attempt to put all, or at least most, of my moms on one stalk. 10 strains, 1 mom :joint: I'm not sure how it will work out...if I lost one mom I could loose all of them, and I don't like the thought of that....so we will see.
