Thanks Gman for the heads up. I did just purchase the continental hose.

So vinyl hose then 1/2 in. Also i bought the 1/2 in fittings from lowes.

Ya im not sure what the deal was with that hose i had . Could have been a freak thing. I have 5 ppk systems going with 8 to 12 sites each, once 20 sites moved down to 12 sites. All built at different times over a 2 or so year period. Was weird to see the rubber balls.

Other systems have been fine. I dont know, maybe someone was sleeping at the factory an made a Shitty rubber formula? Not sure, other then anything is possible. Just makes sense today to use a food grade hose.... thats all. post some pics when she running. Would be nice to see the thread moving again

I figured use the hose but dump after 2-3 rounds.

I was reading it is better to have 1 large pump vs individual pump per site. On the 4 bucket system. I have the 185s or should i get a large mag drive pump?

Thanks for everyones time

For anyone wondering which hose to use - maybe try dairy farm rubber hose. I used vinyl and bulkheads and it's a pain in the ass sealing them and leaks and shit, and rigid hose means you can't move them around as easy

Mate works on a fairy farm and I got it through him. They run acid wash through their lines regularly so I'm pretty sure it should hold up well, and if it's good enough for our milk it's gotta be good enough for our plants

Much easier to disassemble and reassemble than vinyl and bulkheads also...

I used the continental hose on my last build. Held up awesome for 5 mnths.
Buit a flower room to utilize the ppks, de lights and co2. To better mimick d9.
Had some slower growing gorilla bubble in my last grow, they were monsters after 3 months. Let em get out of hand the last month, slacked on my ipm, took in a cookie cut without quarantine. When i was cleaning the plants up to go in the flower room I noticed the perlite was black w root aphids.
I chopped everything down, took clones and bombed the room. Now i got some freshly rooted clones in perlite/tuface dixie cups in the flower room on 18/6 78f 70rh 1000 ppms co2 with the light turned down to 600.
Plumbing the last bit together this week. Will have 3 or 4 clones in each ppk this round .. 4 total on 2 ft centers with a 5 by 11 net over them under 2 solis tek lights. Figure on juust growing them into the net this round.
Will get some pics up this weekend. Pretty happy with my new flower room, looking forward to filling it up

Has any one built the preveg system that is just 1 container not like Deltas that he has them all link together?

Building the cloner and preveg system tonight. For any one trying to cut 3in pvc i used a large hose clamp and a hack saw.

I built one with the paint buckets and one pump.
Worked great, i just need to work on timing. I left em in there almost a month and got root bound big time. They stalled out at transplant

Hats off to Delta and the crew that developed this, im hooked!!!!!

Tried it last run as side by side with two girls i had that i knew were not my best ladies.... and my intuition was right, i had to let that line go :( BUT the one in the ppk rig when i disected em at the end had a root mass three times the one from my regular container and the stem was 50% fatter, and id guess yeild wise was similiar proportion to the stem size, unfortunetly got some mixed up so couldnt measure yeild exact but it was obvious miss ppk kicked the shit otta the reg rig...

I went right out n built two more units, daisy chained em to my virginity taker rig, and put three dandy ladies in em, i let em be in flower room for week n a half on veg cycle and flipped em, i had been worried they wud be on smallish size when i moved em up to their ppk rig... well now my rooms overgrown!

Cant wait to see how this goes w three good girls! This system rocks in every way! So excited to start learning it in depth now that im hooked on the concept.... hats off to all yawl for this one

Preveg

Can someone break it down for me.

I know you need the 2.5qt containers individual tail piece for each site.

Do i need another container to house the pump? A bucket or a tub.
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=8091633&postcount=32
I had a hell of a time finding info on the pre veg system.
I ran 3 pumps in mine. One between each two plants coming up to a t then ran the 1/2 inch line into the plant site.
Worked great for me for what it was.
Idk if thats much help at all, but hopefully so

Just dug the thing up last night, could have sworn it was a single pump but sure as hell housed 3, idk if that is standard issue but was the simplest i could rig up

Struggleing with proper aeration/drainage

Struggleing with proper aeration/drainage

... or maybe I'm just over watering.

Is anybody using a medium other that Turface with good results? The last few runs I've tried coco with other stuff like perlite and expanded clay pebbles and find that the coco just holds to much water.

I'm using 3" pvc tail pieces and doing a 2 minute on 3 hour off cycle and finding the medium is always soaked and heavy with water.

Use the floor dry and have always had nice results.
I do not wash it, but I do 'shake the dust off' with a flour sifter.
Use a 3" tail piece, and frequent feeds.

Coir is a bit trickier. Try increasing your air gap. Seems like I was around 5" with coir. Also, id recommend, spreading frequency out to 6 hours, then when there is vigorous growth, down to 4 hours, then to 3 hours. With coir there is great air holding capacity. But If you keep it oversaturated, then comes algae, fungus gnats, n root problems/pathogens. that's been my experience with coir in ppk.

i want to apologize to everyone for my absence again. i have all the usual excuses if anyone really wants to hear them but i really have been busy.

these pics were all taken over the last few weeks and some are duplicate plants at different stages. i didn't keep notes as i was taking these so i can't tell you what they are except for a few.

we have re-configured the rooms again to comply with medical plant count limitations.

one flower room now with 18 plants so i can take down an average of two per week.

one veg room with 12. and one veg room with 6.

we are eliminating cloning using traditional methods in order to avoid creating more "plants". instead we are air layering all cuttings.

we are also eliminating the intermediate veg room with the blue containers as we now take the air layered cuttings directly off a plant and into one of these 7 gal tuff tubs.

six weeks in the 12 plant room with topping and training as necessary then 3 weeks in what we are terming the "power veg" room trained into nets to make them spread.

in this set of photos there are almost no duplicate strains in the flower room. i can run up to 18 strains without mothers or having more than 36 total plants in the building.

here in pics 7 and 8 you can see the 12 plant veg room from both ends. the air layered cuttings are taken from the power veg room just before the plants go to flower.

in pic 8 on the right side you can still see the last vestiges of traditional cloning. soon to disappear forever.

this room has it's own recirculating system supplied from the totes at the end and 7 55 gal drums for volume/mixing. i use 750 ppm at the .5 conversion.

pics 9 and 10 kind of show what we are doing in the power veg room. three weeks here and then to flower.

in the power veg room we built a 1500 gal volume/mixing tank to feed the flower room and the power veg room. we input around 900 ppm and the recirculating system runs around 1250 ppm.

pics 2 and 3 are gmanwho's star99.

so this is the state of affairs at the Oregon Letter of the Law Test Facility. everything in strict compliance for a two card room that is not at your residence.

Impressive D9.

Got a question; in some photos the medium looks more Perlite than the 50/50 mix of Turface/perlite. What gives?

I feel you on the never changing laws. Maine just passed to start recreation markets and changed Medical a little with combining into Rec. Which means tighter laws and more red tape. Everyone has there hand in the cookie jar.
