You are on the right track. I'm not sure if "straight" is ever considered a noun instead of an adjective or adverb, and if it's not a noun, it can't be made plural. Strait of gibraltar, etc. has no gh in the middle. So if "straight" can be a noun, then "straights" is a word that fits my description. If not, you still get half a star

I would guess "wisdom", or possibly "experience".
