Definitely call the grow shop, and give a description of the guy, and let them know potential rippers/cops are out there tailing customers. I wouldn't shop there anymore. Order online.

you are absolutly right, the police cannot base a search warrant on the fact that you visitied a grow store.
but they can follow you home, and based on whatever circumstantial evidence they may "find" they can aquire a search warrant.
that said, each state is different.
in the south and midwest the courts have given a green light to this find of "work". thats not to say that it will hold up in court, my bust will most likley be trown out based on the way the police went about investigating me. So why would they bust someone illegally knowing that the case would be thrown out?
the more busts they get goes into account when reviwing the next years budget, and sometimes,not always, the city will alloccate more money for drug task forces; based on their performance. that money does not include the amount of assests seized in busts be it cars homes or cash. things they do not have to give back even if the case is thrown out. now i am speaking in terms of the fuked up south. by no means would this hold up in a court west of the mississippi except maybe Utah.

Paco is right. I know someone going through it now. They just do it to steal your shit and raise their number of busts. The reason they want so many busts is if they start to slow down, their federal funding is decreased. They really enjoy getting your cars, homes, computers, all that stuff. They think it's theirs, and they do NOT give it back for any reason. You'd be lucky to get your car back if someone ELSE gets caught driving it with drugs on them. These people do NOT give a **** about you, your family, your property, or your rights. You will only be allowed to BEG FOR MERCY with your sentencing.

Basically they cannot come in if you DO NOT let me them. Unless they have a warrant, or they believe there is a fugitive inside (but then anything else they find may be inadmissable in a case because of the intent of the warrant), or if they OBSERVE something inside the house/apartment such as a bong on a table and even then, they really have to wait for a warrant.
Just don't let them inside even if they don't ask, sometimes they just try and walk in, you have to get outside and close that door behind you. And lock it, just like Stoned originally said. They will try to open the door and look inside if you don't lock it.
But to me it definatly sounds to LE tailing people from the growshop. Some growshops are even opened by LE. Good that you didn't go home, but don't keep that car near your grow. That is the only way I would have piece of mind... Especially if where you lost him was anywhere close to where you live.
order online and make it minimal. I never have it sent to the grow show. almost everything I have can be purchased at HD, Lows and wally-world. Besides my fan (vortex) and my nutes. I could easly go organic and never have to order again.

And as far as this funding and bonuses, I think thats all BS. The cops are just trying to bust people however they can. In the courtroom, its about throwing shit on the wall and see what sticks. Most people going to court cant afford a lawyer or bond so they sit in jail, get a PD and plea on "50 years of probation" at their first hearing just to get out of jail. Those with a little $$$ bond out, hire a lawyer, fight their case and do much much better than those w/o money.

word. the system is all f***ed. and once you're in it, you're in. thats is not cool yamaha, im sorry to hear about it. the cops just do whatever they want, and usually get away with it. that is why it's so important to know your rights. but if it all werent so corrupt and all "for money", we wouldn't have to worry about it all so much you know?

Sounds like a Undercover or Ripper to me. Around here undercovers will sometimes follow people home from grow stores, so they can start building evidence on your address, to get a search warrent. I suggest making all purchases in someone elses car and/or making large purchases, I go rent a Moving van. Cost like a total of 30$ for a few hours of use. Just my

heres the plan. enhance your op, continue to grow but use your tomatoes and herbs and what not. Browse the sights, go to the store daily and even let him follow you home. JUST when they think they have you. BLAMO innocent. Think they would come back?
The whole idea is not showing up on any of the radars. Wrong to assume just because one agency doesnt show interest in your extensive paper trail at one time that another wont pick it up somewhere down the line. You might spend ten years growing tomatoes trying to get them enticed into one sniff of your butt, whole other story if they even bother with a second sniff.
Also wrong to assume that just because you setup your gear as a veggie grow that they cant come in confiscate your shit and compile enough circumstantial evidence to prove that you were conspiring to grow. Once you let them in they pretty much control the ball game and its up to you and an expensive lawyer to play to win the game.
Thats why its so much easier to tighten up your own loose ends and take the sound advice stated above. Dont answer the door.

I'm not one to argue (usually) but I'm in no way wrong. If Law Enforcement enters your home, they need a real reason. Especially if they really tryin to stick you with a case. THEY have to do all the work. THEY have to get enough evidence to CONVINCE a JUDGE to give them permission to INVADE your PRIVACY. Judges don't just hand them out. (If they do, they are pointed out by watchdogs).
No matter what state you live in, you DO HAVE RIGHTS IN AMERICA. But if you DON'T KNOW them, don't wait for the POlice to tell you...lol. That's a joke.
And yes, the system is fu*ked and designed for those who have money. I won't talk about state specific laws because THEY ARE WATCHING, AND THEY WILL BUST YOU, but why do you think they call you up first if you have a self-paid lawyer on your arraingnment day, sentencing day, any court date? If you can't afford a lawyer, don't play this game. (Too deeply). Keep that rainy day money! And tell ONE person you trust your LIFE with.(NOT A WOMAN, NO OFFENSE, EMOTIONS GET IN THE WAY...) You have NO idea how good you will feel when you know you can post 20K bail and 10K for the retainer... That is the difference from folding, taking a plea, admitting and signing a confession, and being able to tell them pigs. "Fu*k you, book me, call my lawyer." You gonna spend a day or few days in, until your people's can bail you out. Also, don't depend on a cell phone # to contact your bail MAN. Most jails don't allow you to dial out to cellular phones after your initial "first phonecall". So memorize that land-line...
