BB i don't think someones age has anything to do with what they are able or not able to do, but yeah lets not fill this thread up with unrealistic and stupid questions lol
:joint:

I stand by my comments asher, someone who's 20 and coming into this thread asking for people who have set up 500+ plant ops is wasting everyone's time here, and should be surfing the bbc website, and if necessary posting such comments in the Toker's Den.

Age has a lot to do with it, as 20 year olds don't have access to houses, money and would just look completely out of place running a grow house.

This thread seems mostly useless (well, first page anyways, didn't see it ran on for 5 pages til just now)(just about everything here has been said many times before, and is common sense). In the hopes of making it useful, I'd like to know how to get 2 elbows per 1k consistently from a commercial-friendly setup. System, strain, nutes.

I run Flood & Drain and I'm not switching (it's just too easy to run, for me to switch now) but I'd be interested in strain and nute advice.

_Dude, if you come into this thread asking for how to get 2lbs per 1kw, then you are definately not ready to grow commercially.

Your lack of knowledge is telling...

I suggest you re-read the thread, see if you're cut out for this, then learn how to grow plants properly and you might reach that target.

well not arguing but maybe ur from a different part of the world, its possible to be established by the time your 20, specially if you came from a family of growers..as for the questions on 500+plants yeah your right, but age got nothing to do with it, we'll leave it at that :joint: :joint:

I take it back. Your post at least has made this thread worth reading. Excellent!

Dude, let me say that not only I thank you, but my ego thanks you as well. And since your praise has put me in a good mood, I will reward you with my latest brainstorm. Mind you it's not 100%, but every little bit helps.

What I suggest in regards to grow stores, it is possible to do a bastardized background check on it. Again, it's not 100%, but before I recently visited the growstore I frequent, I went on the websites of the area newspaper. Everyone of 'em from the daily big city liberal rag to the more consevative local yocal type of paper. I entered the name of the growstore plus the words marijuana busts. Fortunantly for me nothing came of the search.

What I was on the lookout for was any recent busts linked back to the store. If there were, I would call and ask them if ownership had changed at anytime recent. If the answer was no, then I would leave well enough alone.

I know it's a shot in the dark, but it may shed some light on the store's history, of which most of us know nothing about. I only venture out to the growstore about 2-3 times a year. I stock up on what I need so I don't have to go back as often.

This method is just one more tool I use to avoid contact with the pigs. The best way, I feel to stay under the radar, is to avoid the people and the places that cooperate with the police.

I also started young, but if anyone tells me a 20 year old masterminded and carried out a 500+ indoor grow op, then they're talking shit, plain and simple.

evilphil - 2kw is hobby, not commercial, not even in the same ballpark.

Let's keep it real people

Hi Foe,

I think a lot of us started young, but what's a 20 year old doing coming in here asking if anyone's done a 500 plant indoor op?

Wasting everyone's time, that's what.

I've made my recommendations to him, and I'm gonna stop at that.

Peace

Simple answer, testing things.

Different strains, different phenotypes, label everything and test them against each other.

Nutrients etc. Likewise, testing scientifically different feeds, strengths, regimes, potions in all your reservoirs makes a little more work, but pays big % dividends crop after crop.

Plant growth is governed by limiting factors, the plant grows to the extent of the least limiting factor. If you limit your garden in any way, you limit the crop, full stop. Cover all the angles, do not skimp and there is no reason why you cannot do better than your target.
Yeah, I know the stock answer, but the great thing about science is it can be replicated, by definition. So if someone's getting 2 elbows per 1k consistently with Flood and Drain, I'd rather just skip to the end of the book, if you take my meaning.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look both ways before I cross the street too. (to elaborate: most of the info on these forums is geared toward box growers, not commercial growers, and getting a g a watt out of a box is a hell of a lot easier than getting a g a watt out of multiple 1ks while holding down a full time job, staying under plant limits, etc.)

Oh and knowitalls: mersh is as mersh does.
What I suggest in regards to grow stores,
No problem on the praise, it's a great idea. As for grow shops, I avoid those places like the plague. Just too sketchy for me, unless I can borrow someone's vehicle.

Sorry if my reply seems a bit harsh in places, but the whole net-nerd/stoner mentality gets on my nerves sometimes. Okay, it gets on my nerves all the time. I mean really, I'm a grown fucking man. I don't need anybody's goddamned philosophy of life. I've got my own goddamned philosophy of life. What I need are facts. If I solicit info, and you don't know the answer, just don't reply!

/rant.

_Dude, patience grasshopper, you come across as wanting it all...RIGHT NOW!!

You say you're a grown man, but behave like an impatient child who can't wait for Christmas.

Now if you are a grown man, and get easily tired of reading what we write, then just get your game head on, find specific info on strains that might be suitable, get yourself a greenfinger and a location, and get busy.......don't waste time here!

_Dude, this is not the thread to ask specifically "how do I get 2lbs from each 1kw"

You need to research this, not ask us to hold your hand.

I could tell you, but as I say, it's not the place.

Please go and research it and stop posting in here, thanks.

Your conditions, water, strain and execution etc. are all unique to you, so to summarise "the book" reread what I said, replicate, you know the specs to keep your garden in. Growing commercially you may well be going down for it anyway, so if plant numbers do not bother you use a Sea of Green, 7 x 7 per M². Healthy, vigorous mothers, good propagation, care during rooting, planting lush 6"/15cm plantlets in to flower.... you need less than 10g/plant to hit your target. If you cannot hit that, go and get a McJob.

You do need to read the whole book, cover to cover, maybe 3 times at least, or you WILL screw up. This will cost you thousands, is it really not worth a few more hours of your time to read and read again. The rewards is high, so are the penalties, this is serious, why fuck about ?

Look at commercial horticultural techniques and practices, those people are not fools and you can learn constantly from them.

18' x 8' would get you 500+ plants no prob if you are doing SOG. grid format spaced out every 6 inches. (35 plants long by 15 plants wide)

but forget trimming all that, easier to do 1 plant every square ft. (or 144 plants with the above 18' x 8')

not even stating that i'm commercial or anything, but if one were to go down that path you would figure one would need to "tow the line" as they say. if you are an ignorant buffoon you will most certainly fail. and if not, you may fail anyhow since odds are against you as a commercial grower i agree
