That is a beautiful spot. That super soil can be a little hot yea? But Good shit. Sometimes the blood attracts the pigs but the dogs take care of them. Excellent looking mushrooms Bra.
Aloha

Today's day 41 on the autos, so I'm right at halfway. I've made the decision that I won't buy another bag after these 3g bubble hash and ~2-3g strawberry cough. If I run out, I'll treat it as a much-needed lesson in patience. I haven't gone more than a day without getting stoned since I was 17 so I could probably benefit from a little forced sobriety.
But I may very well make this hash stretch that long in the vaporizer.

Well where's the pictures???>.......:tiphat:

All right, my soil has been cooking for almost 3 weeks and my closet is getting overcrowded. Not to mention all my clothes smell like skunk, and the apartment is starting to smell (landlord lives right upstairs) so it's time to start taking them out!

I've attached photos of my closet jungle, the bud and hash I'm currently smoking on (choptops I may have misunderstood you, and I know you don't have shit for bud right now, so here's a little budporn for ya) and also...LOOK, LOOK at how WELL my MUSHROOMS are doing!! ;)

They're producing like crazy, I'm picking at least 1 large one per day.

Ok, time to get my hiking boots on and my bike legs ready...let's do this!

I put 4 out so far near my autos and while I was out I checked the autos (sorry chops didn't bring my camera, don't need that kind of evidence on me). 3 of them were badly root rotted. The spot they're in has been flooding, and we got a torrential downpour last night that didn't help. So I transplanted them over to where the other 3 plants are (which look completely perfect and beautiful, btw). It sucks transplanting them this late (2-3 weeks into flower) but it was either that or lose the plant altogether.
Then on my way out I almost got spotted by the guy that the neighborhood contracts to come cut the grass twice a year in an empty field adjacent to the brush where my plot is. It's my luck that he'd do it on a day like today, but at least I got a glimpse of him and it's not just a mystery to me anymore.

I had to leave my duffel bag and shovel out there, I couldn't let him see me sprint across the road with that crap in my hand (he didn't see me) so I have to go back out to get it once I'm rested up. This afternoon I'm going to hike 10 out to another spot. ugh this is a lot of work.

yeah screw that, I'm not going this afternoon. I'm gonna eat some shrooms and head downtown tonight instead ;)
Tomorrow's gonna be a long day.

...and I was right. It was a long day. I got a late start and only planted 5, but the other 5 are out there. I just have to ride my bike out tomorrow morning and hike them up the mountain (easily one of the toughest things I've ever had to do. It was a grueling 45 min up about a half mile incline, full of 6ft high briers - my bag, bucket and shovel easily weighed 80-90lbs).

When I went out to get my shovel and duffel bag today I brought my camera and snapped a few shots of the autos and the 4 that I planted yesterday (1 rocklock, 1 chocolope, 1 lemon skunk, 1 church --- this is a test group; it's a plot close to my house that I can check regularly so I know when to go out to the more remote locations to harvest)

There's a photo of 2 autos that are doing very well, another photo of the 3rd auto that's doing very well and two of the ones with bad root rot that I transplanted yesterday.
There's a photo of the 4 that I transplanted out yesterday as well. From the bottom left, going clockwise: lemon skunk, chocolope, rocklock, the church (very small at bottom right --- I finally noticed that ALL of the plants that burned in the closet were the church. so either they're just really light feeders or they like a very low pH).

The other photo is a shot of the tunnel of branches that I crawl through to get to this secluded plot.

Well 5 more down, that's 14 total, excluding the autos, and 15 left to put out. I put 10 on that hill, split into 2 groups of 3 and 2 groups of 2. That was the toughest location to get to out of all of them, so the hardest work is behind me now. I managed to get up that hill today in just about 15 min (with 80 lbs on my back) by hiking smarter, looking ahead for brier patches and avoiding them.

My GPS died on me while I was out there so I didn't get to save the locations. I left a trail of breadcrumbs by tying pieces of white trash bag to trees to show me where to go. I'll ride my bike out later this week and take them down when I save the spots permanently on my GPS. There's an easier way to get to this spot but I have to take my bike, it's closed to cars.

When I go back out to save the locations I'll snap some photos.

I haven't gone back out yet. I'll give it a few days, I've been busy with some other stuff, and yesterday the little lady and I drove down to a big ass lake and had a good time so no time for biking and hiking. Today I'm gonna go put a little cha ching on the autos just starting to flower. And no, I won't be bringing my camera. sorry. I just posted pics of those on saturday I believe. don't want it to get too stale in here ya know

Check out this chocolope I'm still holding on to (that's a rocklock in the background). It's been vegging for 43 days indoors. Think this thing's going to yield for me? ;)

I'm hoping for 1lb+ from this lovely lady, though I'd be happy with much less. i'm going to give these two 8 - 10 gal of soil to stretch out in.

I'll put these two out soon, I'm just having trouble deciding where to put my largest and most valuable plants.

I'm not using a pot. I'm growing straight in the ground, but I'm amending the soil in a 10gal hole. The roots are free to stretch where they please.
And I'm really not trying to be unreasonable about it, I said earlier that I'd be happy with 2 - 3 lbs total from all the plants. But this girl's gonna get huge by the end of the year, and I know outdoor cali growers get multiple lbs per plant. I don't think 1lb is out of the question, she looks like she'll get TALL when I give her room to stretch. Thanks for a dose of reality tho.

shit i say you are seriously underestimating how much potential your crop has this year!!...i mean i now the conditions aren't what cali has but people get 10lb plants out here and 5lbs are normal so yeah if you but those tall fucks out there i'd say you could end up with 2-3lbs on each one......but what do i know....also i know people who get 2lb plants indoor if you veg for 6weeks but again what do i know i am still a "newb" myself. good luck bro!! looking good so far!! :woohoo:

I'm an underestimator by nature. I've been disappointed too many times, so I keep telling myself that 2lb would be awesome (just barely enough to get me out to cali) so that if I do end up pulling 5 - 10 lb I can shit my pants then.
Also I don't know exactly what makes cali weather so great for mj, but I know the smoky mtns have pretty excellent growing weather as well. Plenty of rainfall, plenty of sunshine, great temps. What more do you need?

Looks like it's....UPDATE TIME!

Got a few shots of the remaining autos. They're about to start blowing up!
