show your flouro yields!!!

howdy ho neighborinos. right now i am using 6 42w cfls for a total of 252w and i was wondering what kinds of yields you can pull off with flouros. i love flouros because they are sooo easy to cool and perfect for noobasaur growers like myself . please feel free to post your plants and yields with flouros as well as total wattage, fan, medium, nutes, or anything else relevant. a buddy of mine has some of the CO2 pucks that smell like eucalyptus that I will be using soon to try to increase yield.

runnin 200w of cfls right now so ill let you know the yield in a few weeks, im at day 40. im shootin for 3 oz's but we will see.

hmm i use 2 x 120w (so 240w total) CFLs for veg phase ... but for flowering you're ripping yourself off - go MH or HPS instead! MUCH better spectrum, not to mention shitload more lumens

tngreen - i am at day 34ish since the switch, but they didn't show signs until about 2 weeks in, so more like day 20ish for me. let me know how ur yield turns out for you. which link is your current grow?

phenomenal - ya cfls are awesome for vegging, but i can't afford to get a hps right now. the next time around it will be a 400w hps for sure. as for lumens, i am pulling off about 16,800 with 252w which is pretty bad compared to 58,000 lumens from a 400w hortilux hps.

lc00p4, if you can handle the extra heat from a 600w then definately go that rather than a 400w you get much more bang for your buck

But the fluoros will at least keep you happy in the meantime!

pheno metal, cfls work great for veg and flowering. head over to the micro forums and see for yourself. yes hps is better but for small spaces and stealth, cant beat cfls cooled with pc fans. soon i will be upgrading to 150w hps but for starting out, cfls have been awesome!

Are there any other advantages of HPS over Flouro rather than lumens/penetration? I have heard some people say spectrum but what about the floro 'grow' lights? And if it is spectrum what color are the flouros missing that HPS has? I have also heard that HPS lowers flowering time?

ineffable, Flouro actually has the advantage in the spectrum department. where as HPS is only 1 spectrum, you can run a very diverse mixed spectrum with flouros. HPS will give you more weight watt for watt but also creates more heat. if you have the ventilation, go HPS. if it all possible, i would mix MH and HPS. here is a harvest pic from 200w of cfls that i just cut last night. ill get a weight once they are dry.

very nice tngreen. i got cut a little short on my grow, but i ended up with an 1/8th dry. definately let me know how the smoke is along with your yield. luckily i got more ladies under 12/12 that i started mid-grow and they are being trained right now. awesome job...

this yielded 8 oz. its 480 watts of t8 flouros. not a great gpw ratio, but it could easily be better. FLOUROS 4 LYFE! lol

The rest of the pics are of two Sandstorm (Cannabiogen), with improvised LST, grown under 107w of CFLs (2x55w DuluxL), yielding 54gr of dry buds well manicured.

Almost TWO oz'ers from 107w?!?! Holy Sheepshite! You're my hero...
