Back in the News, the CoronaVirus has hit the markets and some stocks keep plugging away.

I'm looking into the electric space such as Telsa and NIO (Electric China Car company) for the year 2020 and see if NIO can pull 300% this year.

The companies making surgical masks must be having a field day. Masks prices are surging as supplies try to keep up.

GE was just posted to be on the move back up after a year of troubles

Yes.might be a good time to hold.

I was watching Gilead Sciences Inc. because of the Virus and ran into that they won't benefit from it
www.nasdaq.com/articles/gilead-wont...analyst-says.-buy-the-stock-anyway-2020-02-04

But got in anyways.
Maybe they can become middlemen for surgical masks.

With Oil consumption dropping great time for Airlines.
Dangerous to Short Planes,Trains,Automobiles.

A Chinese drugmaker said it has started mass-producing an experimental drug from Gilead Sciences that has the potential to fight the novel coronavirus, as China accelerates its effort to find a treatment for the widening outbreak.

Suzhou-based BrightGene Bio-Medical Technology said in a statement filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Tuesday night that it has developed the technology to synthesize the active pharmaceutical ingredients of remdesivir, Gilead’s drug that is a leading candidate to treat the highly-infectious virus that’s killed more than 1,000 people. The drug isn’t licensed or approved anywhere in the world yet.

Its stock surged 20% in Tuesday morning trading in Shanghai.

Hopefully For GILD Too! Sitting at $67.76

Wow,Market took a dump and rightly so.With the Lock-down at some places, that's going to have an effect elsewhere too.

GILD Took a leap of faith ..Heading to $78 and $88 price targets with it being today was a high of $74.52 (The price targets is something I saw today)

Traveling seems really bad so Airlines,Cruises,Trains might be a hold on some stocks.Airlines seems to be sitting pretty because the Price of oil is dropping against the amount of people flying.

$41 a barrel of Oil is rumored across the Spectrum.
Jet Fuel Cheap on the Go.

If it gets Worst.Time to load up on Defensive stocks like Food
And the Dollar stores. :underwater: ...Gold hit a High too.

I think Walmart will benefit from their Home Grocery Shopping service.

during the C-virus, more & more people will be looking for ways to avoid crowds.

Seems like their biggest competitor is Amazon.

Amazon has revenues of $300 Billion a year - and market cap of $1 Trillion.

Walmart has revenues of $500 Billion a year - and market cap of $330 Billion.

That seems very imbalanced.

The act of re-balancing it will be good for the Walmart stock price
but it's not a short term trade.

I had been thinking about the home delivery thing and I don't think it's much if any safer. You still have many, many people handling your food all through out the food chain and the delivery.
Same for all those masks people are buying. What are they doing with those masks after they use them? The outside could be contaminated and once you take them off where are you putting them? If you use them again after removing you just contaminated the inside, and where ever you put them down is now (possibly) contaminated.

American and United airlines are looking like a half off sale.

People putting off travel now will be ready to go when this passes.

I wouldn't go anywhere near the airlines yet, not until some sort of clarity happens with the Corona Virus. This is gonna get worse before it gets better.

I bought TVIX last week and I'm gonna hold onto that sucker. I would expect that soon this stock will do a ten to one split. It did reverse splits on the way down, so I would expect it to do the same on the way up.

You are taking a huge risk holding TVIX over even a weekend.

All those double/triple synthetic ETFs are made to decay(go down). That is why they do reverse splits. If you were trading the 2007 and onward market you would know that. I call them "ponies" and when they run, they are fun. TVIX has had a nice run.

I think it will go lower too, but even now, having a position now is making sure you do not miss the elevator going up. Elizabeth Warren was interviewed on TRM last night and spoke doom and gloom with the potential of a major crash. Probably worthwhile to save some bullets just in case.

That's why people throw them away.

as shown in Chris Martenson's Friday webcast, using the example of a nurse preparing to treat an infectious patient.

Yes, all the boxes of food might have C-Viruses and other viruses on them.

So maybe you should wear a mask & gloves when you're un-packing the food.

I routinely do the Yoga breath-holding thing when I am working around dust and smoke.

now I do it in stores too.

I can make it to the lottery machine on one breath hold.

Of course, I need to remember to protect my eyes too.

I hope you sold that TVIX and got over 190 for it. Those ponies are not for holding and that one is a real whore. Not my term, a professional trader used it.

GILD Took it to $80 ! Good move swings :)

INO is also another company that went $4.00 to $9.00 also deals with Corona Vaccines.

UAL -- United Airlines has a big investor and that's Buffet so it should bounce right back if given that Spring can't get here fast enough.

JBLU-Jetblue Airlines ....HA-Hawaiian Airlines ... ALK -Alaska Airlines...All has their own privates routes...HA deals only with Hawaii. And Alaska deals with Alaska and I would think Alaska is a better market since it has better props planes that can deal with cold weather.

Even Oil is dropping to $41 ! $4.00 off today...that's a big move.Might mean that the open on Monday for the Dow might continually drop.

Hold tight boys ! This is going places !

Speaking of TVIX, i bought a few call options on UVXY a few minutes before the bell closed on Friday. I wish i had done so a week ago.
Thanks to trump and Pence’s gross incompetence, the trump virus has been spreading around unchecked throughout the US since mid February. We can’t treat or track what we can’t diagnose, and we cannot diagnose if we aren’t doing widespread testing. According to Pence, Widespread testing is still a week or two away. I suspect the real panic will start after we begin widespread testing, which will show how far and extensively this thing has actually spread.

Berkshire Hathaway is currently sitting at 1.2 of book value, it’s lowest valuation in at least a year. They’re sitting on a lot of cash, and Warren Buffet likes to buy back shares when the price gets close to book value. Also, he’s been buying up shares of distressed companies lately. Long term, the company has done very, very well.
