Good to see we will still be able to enjoy a nice locally brewed heineken with our freshly purchase and rolled herbs.

I can see where they are coming from though. Smoking pretty good bud mixed with hard liquer tend to lead to people doing stupid things.

Glad to see they are letting the people make their own wise descions though. When you're an adult...it means people shouldn't be treating you like a baby.

it's all about finding new ways to close down coffee shops.

they have given up trying to change the law all in one go as the dutch citizens won't tolerate it. but making more and more rules and regulations is also a good way to get rid of coffee shops, it's just a long term strategy instead of short term. they know that they can't win this all in one go, so they are chipping away at the coffee shops closing a few every year and making the regulations stricter and stricter till they can close every last shop. just think, there used to be many hundreds of shops, now there are less then ever before, even though the population of smokers increases, the shops get reduced. the owners have a harder time then ever, they tax them to fuck, but don't allow them to have bank accounts.

did you ever see a bar, that is only allowed to carry 500 lt. of alcohol? did you ever see a tobacco shop having limits placed on their number of cigarettes? do you get police doing routine id checks in bars? no you don't, they leave it up to the staff to check that stuff. they will only act if they have a concrete suspicion about someone looking under age.

we are being discriminated against and when that happens in Amsterdam, the mecca of cannabis, then the cause is truly on wobbly feet imo.
