This thread is frikn hillarious dont give the poor guy such a hard time though he aint far off from the truth.The area I live in the growers seem to outnumber the regular citizens outdoor peeps mostly but growers none the less.Every time I go to my local nursery they stare down their noses at me ALWAYS ask what Im doing,what I want THAT for all that stuff.They use to do bulk orders and sell nursery pots to peeps at cost now theyve stopped I think they realized every person they were selling bulk to was growing mj.So Im frikn boycotting em no biz for them now gotta drive an hour to a crappy hydro store where they really definetly know whats up theyve been busted twice for helping people out with grow info.I just look the part too [hair down to my ass]so I guess I ask for it.But people should be able to be who they wanna reguardless of chosen profession Im not one to HIDE what Im doin.And I totally agree paranoia is just plain retarded.You knew the job was dangerous when you took it.If you cant take it pick another career/hobby.

Shopping for soil. Is a nursery as dangerous as a hydro shop visit?

It pays to have a cover for your "other" growing activities. That way nobody will question a bag of soil or bottle of Big Grow sitting around. Buy a rose plant and put it in a bucket or something. Get smart about it, and cover your @ss. Have a VALID reason right out in the open for visiting the hydro store and you will not look suspisious.

i dont pay any one any thing just watch your local council for there gardening programs ....hahaha.....just find where they are planting rip up the plants put a sheet of plastic in the boot of your car and fill it for free ...................mind you it,s best if it,s like 4am when you do this the shovel is a wonderful tool

i phoned a hydro shop looking for bat guano. i told the guy exactly what i was going to use it for. he told me he couldnt contribute to my illegal actions and then hung up on me.
my advice: try to find a nursery thats owned by people who dont speak english very well. they wont ask u anything cause they know theres communication breakdown.

If I need soil, I'll just head off to any number of places nearby where I live ,and just buy it. There's no reason to get paranoid about buying soil, unless it was an insanely huge amount or something, IMO.
