That sounds like several thousand miles. What is the horizontal extent of Australia? 3,000 to 5,000 miles?
But you don't drive that distance by car, do you?
Are plane tickets expensive in australia?
Here in Europe, most major cities can be reached quite easily with cheap plane tickets or the train.

italy have decent plasterers and tilersI learned plastering from some old Italians a a kid.

i had some romanian painters whos dad was a 'plasterer'.
Lovely chaps. The old bloke brewed and distilled his own eau de vie which he kindly gave me a bottle.
He coudn't plaster for shit though, in a limestone cave maybe acceptable after a few bottles of his superb tipple.
I always thought it was the smell of pva on their breath

whenever i'm in a hot country , i sued to think the plasterers were not up to much, but when you try plastering on over 30 c , and maybe rendering an outside south facing wall .... the plaster is dry in the mixing bucket by the time i get it to the top of the scaffold rig up
so with that in mind they must be decent to be able to get the finish half decent in those temperatures

I asked him to fill a crack in a wall and he added so much it jutted out two inches and he then had to sand it back with a huge orbital sander.
