Phillips all the way.

I heard something like that, that first you must let them run for a while before switching off then first switch off has to be cooled totally before back on again.

When it blew, it blew the breaker switch which turned all the other lights off. I couldnt be arsed disconnecting the other cmh bulb, so some hours life lost on that one too when it booted back up warm.

Have a good one, I best get back up there to insulate the new tent more otherwise these pollen sacks will all be sterile.
the cold makes my sacs feel sterile too . roll on spring and summer time . i do not cherish the winter

@GreenestBasterd have you germinated the sungolds yet ? i just harvested the last of mine. end of season sungolds are smaller , the size of peas , and tasting like grapes when over ripe. divine
I have mate, if anything a bit on the early side as they have already started to flower and they're still in tiny pots in the greenhouse.

Traditionally where we are, you wait until after Melbourne cup day before final planting as there can still be a bitter late frost, and it's caught me out a few times in the past.

Probably have about 50 tomatoes plants and I only realistically need a couple of plants with enough for a few for fry ups.
