Was thinking a few days ago of how to get hold of some pollen and pollinate just a few buds on my auto. Was thinking of asking a german grower if he can send me some.

Don't know how pollen is stored + transported best. Does it survive temps below freezing?

Just wild ideas. But why not share pollen with other breeders

if stored correct it would still be postable. you are correct in the fact that it degrades constantly until it is useless. temps below freezing is fine. freezer is a good place to store .

austria they have clone shops i was told, so maybe they sell male clones too.

male clones would be easier to deal with . have father stud plants , and post rooted clones for people to flower themselves

people do share

however , it is always best to make your own selections and collections as things go wrong and nobody is acountable when sharing. i would rather blame myself for any failure

34 watt mini tent pollen chucking. plants are not in the best of health due to the cold temps but the pollen is flying now and the plants pollinated . I will leave the male for a week and then kill him off. In the mini tent is a columbian red x oldmotherghani male and two c r x omg females ,and one random lebanese x oldtimer haze for fun. the f2 c r x omg will be interesting

And when you get bored looking for nice phenotypical females, you can spend your time trying to hunt and look for nice phenotypical males

i did that with three packs of hindukush for the last round. Solely looking for males

Thats a great cross! Looking forward to that! Plan on seeing some variation obviously with an F2 generation, but thats where you find the interesting stuff. Tom Hill was talking about that on The Potcast.

I decided to have some fun with my little project and got a couple more seed lines today. Its better to breed while the pollen is fresh and its the current generation. Closest to original is most stable, so let them all breed when you get the seed to have your best chance for a good line.

what ideas and projects are you experimenting with pipeline? i enjoyed the tom hill potcast as he seemed quite down to earth and open. some " breeders " i find insufferable listening to and the egos can be extreme . the tom hill one i could tolerate no problem

Yeah you want a smart breeder. They have been discussing the flood of breeders in the market. Its been interesting to get introduced to some of the breeders. I want a breeder that looks to the future of the line, and is into genetic preservation through stabilizing desirable traits.

You definately have to cool the pollen like in the fridge, then you can keep it alive for some weeks. I don't know how it's in the freezer!?

Yeah but it's austria. In germany any cannabis plants are illegal so the austrian shops don't send to germany.
