May be able to pull the corner posts in the garden now that the drought is finally removed. Been moist on top but concrete down beneath.

i tarped an area 6 months ago. i will remove the layer of plastic , revealing bare soil area, then i'm making a large pile of aged manure, and compost in the centre of the new area , then i will hammer posts into the ground around the parimeter of the intended area , and then i tack on chicken wire 20 inches high ,then line the sides with weed barrier and then shovel and rake out all the soil into a thick bed. and then i will tarp over it all again

and it is to grow veg and herbs , not the cannabis varity pipeline haha. shame i can't grow weed everywhere

Oh just leveling it out. I wouldn;t run straight composted manure and compost, ph will be off.

just imagine a 20 inch layer of compost and manure and soil on top of existing ground. all i have used is a sheet of plastic. i have not dug holes. the soil is held in place easily by gravity and the chickenm wire lined with material

Must be blended with soil for proper ph and drainage characteristics.

It will be ready for the herb one day. I need to start doing that. It would be nice to have an established garden for the herb once it becomes legal.

it will be beautiful come early spring. lots of work yet . groundwork. rome wasn't built in a day pipeline lad

it is a process . we have hard frosts to come yet . fail to prepare , prepare to fail

i want it hot for now, i want frosts, i want temperature flucatuations and i want nature to do all the hard work. i will smoke weed and do as little as possible and protect my back .

Thats great. So you are making a pile of compost and aged manure and bringing in some good top soil to mix in to your raised bed? May add some dolomite lime to buffer acidity. Will be some good soil rich in organic matter.

I have a 100x40 ft garden but only planted about half of it last year!

Got a used New Holland tractor with a bunch of implements last spring, so we were able to get the garden tilled so much easier with the 6 ft rototiller. Used to do it with this 20 inch tiller!

Yeah buddy! Nice work putting in the hard work for a garden. Gardens are so important to my sanity lol
Delicious food and safe inputs for ferments and such. An important link in doin life low budget.
