Yeah thats kind of the idea I got about C99, its not the best of the best, but a pretty solid smoke early finishing sativa. Tom Hill has some good inbred lines, he was working and growing with another local who was a chemist in his previous career. The chemist had collected a bunch of great lines and Tom did as well.

C99 is pretty famous here in the german speaking region(Germany, Austria, Switzerland), never had her by myself but always reading it's great for indoors and outdoors also in our northern climate. Was often used as smaller sog plants i think.

my seed making is solely to make my own hybrids to grow and smoke. and just have fun and learn along the way. Maybe in 50 years of line breeding , testing , stableising , preserving heirlooms, improving plants , all on a big scale could one consider himself a breeder. got to earn your stripes and have the experience

i will be happy with a couple of keeper males

Yeah, a selection by 'Knospe' aka Dr. Knospe in the german grow-community. Knospe is the founder of the big old german forum where i started growing... He died before my time and a few years later the forum gone offline. I got all my first grow reports there.

I started reading my genetics book from a college genetics course I took. Coming in handy now! Need to have a professor to help me understand these formulas if I want to quantify it. Its about understanding concepts even if you can't properly quantify the curve distribution with a formula.

I am at F6 and it mentioned here that the lines resulting from crossing 2 true breeing homozygous lines, breeding through F6 to obtain new homozygous true breeding lines.

Been a long time since i read it, but its an overview of genetics and inheritance. He worked with Tom Hill to release some of these varieties and work them into hybrids.

Oh using heterosis to get improve the lines absolutely thats what breeders do. Laws are so much against cannabis that it may not be possible to the necessary degree yet. Plant numbers are key.

Thats what most breeders in agriculture do for field crops so why not for cannabis. I guess you can still breed that way with less populations.

Tom Hill just posted on Instagram a 1000 ct Haze reproduction run. But he said about half that line is rope quality like hemp.
