i still think you should be cordial at the very least with him. If he invites you over, go. Maybe hes got a grow of his own or a bicycle chop shop in the storage room (Ive met one such landlord, though I was only dealing at the time)? hehe. If you got something on him then theres no need to worry. Get some neekid pics or something...
but really, you prob would have had problems by now if it was serious.. worse thing now is him talking (even casually/jokingly) to his "landlord friends"..

Just hope & pray that your landlord doesn't talk w/ his other landlord friends. Not sure how it works in states other then California but if he's got the slightest suspicion, he can give you a 24 hour notice to enter and there's not much you can do about it. Trust me, I work in property management and do it all the time........................mostly for mold & mildew inspections.
