Planted in a state nature preserve and leo cut my plants. I've planted in this exact area previously with success but got found out this year. I always wonder who found it..some hiker, dept of Nat. Resources or maybe chopper. Anyway I'll definitely take it as a lesson learned. Go remote. Lots of eggs, lots of baskets.:

It seemed like a really good spot..... screened from the road..... but a nice opening not far from the road.....in between 2 corn fields.....

So after putting in the plants we came back to see how they were doing....

The farmer had let about 100 cows into the area.....

as we drove by..... didnt even stop.....

a particularly nice looking cow with glazed eyes.... gave us a sort of knowing look.....,

Its been almost 20 years....but the look on that cows face still haunts me.....

Unprotected plants.

First time slugs got them.

Second time rabbits.

I suggest using chili powder as that's what stopped it.
