Great choice, Gypsy. Can we have a section on describing, preserving and working with landraces(along with availability). Might help with upcoming sales of your landrace collection and zamalito's landraces in Brazil.

Doesn't Landrace fall under Strain? Yes I know all Strains aren't Landraces but all Landraces are strains right? How about a Landrace subforum?

Its a great idea in principle, but most of the threads that go off topic are taken there not by the one writing the thread but by vissitors to the thread. This could result in a great thread being put into the elite forum and then ending up not so great. Perhaps a general discussion sub forum where all can take part, and a separate demos sub forum where only the thread starter can post in the thread, thereby concentrating the valueable info without the Q&A sessions. I dont know if that is technically possible, but it would keep the info & results together while the theorising and general discussions could be kept separate.

if you havent edited your post atleast a few times before posting its probably not worth reading

the breeders forum can be slow enough at times, i cant think of a few reasons why.. none the less.. we dont need alot of sub forums. the landrace topic can be organised in the lab in posts. depending on how we lay it down. could be a thread per region or country

its gonna be too easy if we can count on our brothers dont fret

Congratulations to Suzy and Sam on becoming the new moderators.

I am looking forward to having a place to discuss breeding projects,ideas,genetic information, observed experiments and data on all aspects of breeding.
Horticulture and Botany has been a part of my life since early childhood.
I am looking so forward to having serious minded people to talk to and hopefully we will not argue [too much]

I think if we pool our info and we give breeding a serious effort we can develop some amazing new strains, and think of the opportunity to ask around
about what people are breeding and see if someone else is doing that same cross and maybe pool our knowledge or do joint efforts.

It could lead to fun stuff like ICM KUSH.

I think breeding should be fun and hey we dont need an advanced degree to just go for it and try some crosses.I want people to just have fun growing and have a rewarding experience out of it.
