I have found that if one uses a small humidity gauge inside the jars it is easy. Watch the gauge and when it goes up too high just open the jar and allow the humidity to drop. Using humidity gauges takes the guessing out and makes it easy.

They are small and cheap and well worth the money. Here's what I use and have perfect results every time.

I used to use jars, after drying for a week to ten days for a cure but the bud i lost to mold when i didnt monitor it closely enough annoyed me.

For the last two grows i've used those curing ziplock bags, which supposedly guarantee a humidity range.

Well, they are great. no more mold...It does prevent the cure from green buds to brown so a little depth is lost but it's almost inperceptible.

I'm curious on everyones sentiments on the cure stage of the process. As a new grower, I find it a bit intimidating as it is a sensitive process and it requires time and attention. I just wanted to put some feelers out to see if anyone else feels that way or if it's just me.
It is intimidating your first few grows because a correct dry and cure is one of if not the most important part of growing. Once you get used to it it's very easy and it will quickly become second nature.

Not all weed cures up the same. Some definitely improves over time and others are better right after drying. Both have there advantages. I tend to pheno hunt for varieties that improve with a good cure because I find it frustrating when something loses its quality. But I can see why some people would want the stuff that tastes better sooner and not necessarily improve in a jar.

^ New growers are confused because of legacy boofers like this guy. People just like the user name, to upvote such nonsense. The Blue Dream of forum users.

Legacy internet boofers: Weed tastes like nasty useless fruit scrap essential oils that magically disappear when exposed to air light or negative vibes, maaan. The dollar store spice rack outlives the home grown weed rack in my house, and I think that's totally normal.

Reality: Weed tastes like LOX, degraded aminos, carbs, etc. Best after 9 month cure. Nothing confusing once you accept that the loudest cannabis ever grown was cured in a rotted collapsing tool shed with no electricity for miles. Not a cure fridge in sight, omg..

Ignore all the legacy internet boofer clowns who make up shit and repeat it for cult clout.

"chlorophyll = hay smell."

"Evaporating terps..preserve da terps"

"My favorite terp is myrcene... grape.."

"Boiling point this, terpinolene that"

"Monoterpene, sesquiterpene, essential oil, limonene"

^ This is how boofers talk. Gibberish nonsense from failing dope dealers posing as growers, selling less weed and more narcotics daily.

.. reality is not confusing. Only dope dealing internet frauds who lurk the web like needy little leeches looking for the next hint at a trend, are confusing. Maybe get your meth fent and shrooms from them but not weed growing advice.

Politics, agriculture, sexually, nothing confusing about the world but the fucked up mentally ill people trying to rape it.

Wow! I'm so impressed by your knowledge. You're a genius! Your post is so informative and you even included a chart. How impressive. You show those boofers what's up. Who the hell are they to just smoke their weed the way they like it. Kids these days...
