Selfhemployed's 3K Stadium Scrog. R&C amdt. 20

I just finished my 2k vertical stadium run, a la SelfHemployed, using sunpulse bulbs. I used the 3k and 6.4k together, then finished with replacing the 3k for the 10k uvb.

My OGs have bigg'ol fuzzy cabbage buds, stank'n up the joint. lol
The 10k really did it's job, even for only 1 weeks use. During flush, it helped bring out depth in the color of the buds, covering them in a platinum sheen.

Ladies loved the blue of the 6.4k. I think I will replace the 3k with another 6.4k and finish up with 2 10k's next go around instead.

Again, thanks SelfHemployed for sharing this grow.

what did you yield?
do you think if you used regular HPS bulbs you woud yielded more?

So would a 8x8 tent be about perfect for a 2k vert as you have done here. Trying to figure out the perfect way to cool a system like this and still be able to maintain co2. Have ya ever considered hanging the bulbs on a mover to get more even coverage? I have a couple 12kbtu portable AC's. I could run the carbon filter outside in the room (12x12+). I really want to dial in a vert tent. You have done an amazing job here Self. Are ya still runnin the same setup? Peace, pot and karma. One Love:ying:

8x8 would be great! Def run the carbon filter outside the tent. This is the only way to exhaust/scrub tents imo. Screw taking up precious canopy space with a can100.

This one is all taken down. It worked so well that I couldn't keep up with the massive amount of work trimming, storing, cleaning etc.. For some that's a good problem to have, but I run two other gardens of my own and about 4 for my previous patients I'm not allowed to grow for anymore.

However I did put two magnum xxxxl hoods in there and flowered horizontally in a 8.5 x 4.5 area in a scrog and just nailed just under 4.5 lbs growing the white and Bruce Banner (2 each) under one light and SAGE, Legend OG, and two ECSD plants under the other one.

For those of you wanting big yields with small amounts of wattage and can't do vert... I HIGHLY recommend scrogging. Doubled my horizontal yield the first time.

I set a single plant record with the sage at 13 ounces out of a 5 gallon pot. Here's a shot of the stalk after cutting down.. It's hard to tell how big it actually is, but it was at least 3 inches in diameter.

Damn, XXXXL hood! I didn't know they made them that big!

Thats what she said...

Looks like you would need some hedge trimmers to cut that down, nice job man, wish I had the room for a setup such as yours.

One of my favorite grows in the mag ! :thank you:

Question: How do you efficiently cool a room like this thats not sealed ? I mean, wouldn't you have to air condition the whole basement or something ?

Jw cuz if the air is getting sucked out wouldnt the cold ac air go with it ??

Real nice job btw, would love to see this with coco, blumats, and monocropped.

nope I didn't even have to pull cold air in from outside to keep it cool. Just pulled the ambient air from the basement into it and it stayed cool. If I would have stuck with three lights, I could have opened the window but when I started it it was September/October and we had an Indian summer so it was still hot.

I love Blumats, but the Achilles heel for me with them is that you can't feed through them. Now a good super soil + blumats = heaven.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

Ok, so how would you cool the grow if it were summer and you ran 3k ?!

You can feed through Blumats, just run H+G drip clean to keep the drippers from clogging and prevent salt buildup/over-ferting.

Just playing devils advocate, love your style, will emulate someday..

wow vertical sounds like the new to-do. im personally stoked on it! im def. gonna read more n will consider it on the next run!! thanks for the show everyone!

Selfhemp's thread was the ORIGINAL thread that got my dick hard about going vertical, good choice to bring back.

If you guys want to see an epic vert thread, read this one!

yeah this is the design that I copied...

I always wanted to do stadium, but thought it would require insane plant #'s (NF used to run 50-55 1 gallons per 1k with 5 shelves)

Then I saw this thread....... awesome yield with only 8 plants per light! Lower numbers but high yields is more my style...

I loved it so much that I built 2 rooms exactly like it...side by side on a flip.

I'm building the shelves in one room tomorrow...

bottom shelf at 12'', top shelf at 42''

16x widow getting flipped on the 20th and the other room (16x sage) will be flipped on the 1st... (sages will be 18-20'' with nice branches by then)

I have everything vegging under 1k horizontal now,the widows were transplanted into 5 gallon bags yesterday.

Sage stretches insane! I have two at day 30 flower (along with 5 widows), one is 3.5ft(flipped at 15''), one is 4ft (flipped at 18'')... Looks like the yield will be nice...

i just made a similar post to this on another thread;

self, i wanna see another vert stadium out of you this fall. yours was the inspiration for me to finally go vert, and i did i 1k vert stadium, just like yours; yielded 31oz, mostly chem ibl and SourD ibl. bump bump..........

thank you SelfHemployed. that grow was so informative.

going into a new build; 2k stadium flip-flopped. 1200w vert veg room, 600w clone/mom area w/ hood. gonna be doing chem Ibl on one side, SourD ibl on the other.

i will be happy w 4 elbows a side; pretty sure ill do better.

bring this thread back, homey.
