How much are YOU gonna be making there guy? LOL

^^^^who are you to raise your finger you musta been out your head....

jesus christ dude, i blocked you for a reason and now you're leaving me visitor messages, searching for my threads, quoting me and still even giving 2 shits about me? what the fuck, you ran your mouth so i do not care to see a word you say, ever again...you could of been cool about shit and instead of just in a joking manner fuck around you act like you're this big know-it-all and talk down to people...

i don't even know what you're getting at, i was asking questions to VERY helpful members to help me with my grow game...i've been growing small scale for 2years and just upgraded, and am getting into cloning. now stop caring about me and go back to doing whatever else you were doing before you began e-stalking me.

Well, I could only get thru the first few pages of this thread. Glad to see our brothers are holding it down.
$150 for 10 seeds may seem pricey cause they are small.

Just add water, watch them and your wallet; or jars, swell.

Let me get this staight.

What you're saying is if you plant 10 seeds, wait 3 months (including a 2wk cure) and harvest 15oz ( compensated for males) which has a market value on the low side of $3900, your not happy??

If you've ever bought and ran a +K A/C, for your grow, triple that, do the math and STFU.

J/K, had to throw that in there.

But you see where I'm goin!

I don't understand what you're asking. My general point is that seeds shouldn't cost anyone $200, but the problem I see is they base that off the assumption people are going to sell and make their money back - a good percentage of growers do not sell, so in the end they are the ones being price gouged because of the assumption made by breeders.

Im pretty sure youll find the "breeder" didnt get the $200 dollars , he prolly got $120 and the rest went to the distributer ..
So with a more reasonable priced variety of say $80 to $100 , the "breeder" gets half that and less .
If the said "breeder" has batteled jungles , deserts , unhostile natives , insane laws , in order to initially gain the genetics that he/she , then spent years working through thousands of plants ,
and taking risks with current unfavourable laws ,,
id say he deserved the $60 for the pack of seeds .

No one has to buy seeds ,,
everyone is more than welcome to battle the jungles etc to get the genetics themselves and look t hrough the huge amount of plants it takes to find what they need ,
they might get lucky ...
or you can take a punt with some bagseed , some is great , but its a gamble ..

"hahaha!!!!" at this thread right now
and "hardee har har!!!" at you fffffff
i thought i was blocked wtf hahahaha

regarding the thread topic... ill repeat for those whove bypassed some entertainment.....

costs of pot seeds is subjective. just like the cost of art.

whose to say the guy wanting 200 per pack doesnt put the same amount of love into his plants & seeds & breeding than the guy charging 40? hell,,, what if the dude who wants more actually puts more time/energy/love/skill into it than the other guy?

i'd like to get an idea of what kind of income, per year, the CEO's of the major breeders out there make. would put things in perspective
how is finding out what seed CEO x makes a year going to put things in perspective?
what perspective?
if dudes a good successful ceo hes gonna be making some coin.... probably more coin than some ham and egger who works a 9-5. and since hes the ceo of a company in a pretty much world wide illegal trade (or industry hahaha its fucking pot!). whats learning "he makes a lot of money" gonna do - HES A CEO OF SUCCESSFUL COMPANY!

should he be broke and on welfare?
do you have to be broke to be a respected breeder?
do you have to be broke to be a successful cannabis activist?
what if you arent broke but you're a vegan.... is that okay to slang pot seeds for 200 then if you are a middleclass vegan cannabis activist?
im just trying to figure out what the boundries of your perspective are....

Sorry friend, but your logic is also very flawed... "everyone is welcome to battle the jungles etc"

Come on. With that SAME exact attitude, thats like telling a cancer patient who can't afford their medication "you're more than welcome to learn compounding and chemistry and make the drug yourself after you synthesize the precursors and other chemicals"...........

I've already stated and mentioned that the effort it takes to produce the final product DOES take time, effort, blood/sweat/tears and money, but listen, I know many business owners who don't price gouge simply because they've put a lot of effort into their business..

Again, quality can cost more in such a capitalistic society, that i understand, but again the assumption is people grow to sell and with current methods they can make 1 plant 10 (clone) so they figure it's worth the money...but my point is not everyone is in that situation and the prices are based off a small percentage of people who do, in fact, clone/sell/mass produce etc.

Lastly I would think, for a top-notch strain say $100 would be fair for a 12-16 seed pack, that way it's a couple more seeds for the same price, which also saves on how many (illegal) orders you need to place in the future....also factor in let's just say that the average breeder produces JUST 100 packs of seeds, which is only 1,000 seeds. Have you seen the sizes of grows that these breeders have to maintain their product? Even with 100 packs, retailed at $100-200 a pack that is what, 10-20k for just 100 packs? Imagine if they have a total seed stock of 10,000 seeds or more, and prices are 100-200 a pack....trust me, their bills are PAID and they're living in luxury....and on one hand like i said i say good for them, but on the other hand the issue i have is when they want to 'support the cause' and tell people to 'overgrow the world' when they could be charging half the price, getting more people into our beloved hobby AND still make bank.

Look at Emery. Dude was charging over $300 for a 10 pack....people like him deserve to be dropped in the middle of the ocean covered in seal blood.

youre still looking hahahahaha
why is it even blocked hahahaha
because you're curious what i just spewed and want to know....
might as well take of the "block" dude come on

could be a long eternity buddy if you dont hash this out now hahahaha

asking why seeds cost so much is like asking "whats in menudo?" before they dig into a big bowl of mexican goodness... all you do is ruin it

just like this thread.

thanks for looking!!!

edit: hey some folks prefer/want to only offer higher ticket products... has something to do with pride in ones work i think.... sometimes higher end gettups branch down, like bannanrepiblic did with gap and then old navy. and sometimes they dont. its their choice.
brand purity. its a business thing.

saying someone who loves to produce loads of illegal cannabis seeds for world wide distribution needs to do more for the movement sounds a lot like the fucking asshole pastor at church saying "you need to tithe more to the church because the supreme being loves you and we need it"
fuck that shit.
right in the ear.

i see your point ,though its not exactly what i was getting at , we still both come to the same conclusion that $100 is pretty fair for a bakers dozen .. thats reasonable imho

Some of you realy cant count, A breeder sells for 100 dollar he gets 50 dollar he pays tax 20% aswell on that so got 40 dollars on a 100 dollar pack.

The cost till first relase are very high, he needs to sell atleast a 150 packs before he can put anything in his pocket.

It takes a year before you can sell a pack from somthing new, only putting in money that whole year.

As for myself i am still in the big Minus, and need to sell a lot to even get over the investments.

I dont feel hit by the statment, and yes seeds defantly aint cheap, But he they aint as cheap as you think to make.

Also you buy genetics, not 10 seeds, You can do whatever you want with the seeds you buy, make more, keep cuttings, etc. When you are not able to that, that is not my mistake is it ?

Yea but then you got some who sell 10 at almost $200... Which is a joke... Don't get me wrong I've also seen obscenely high the 200 for 10 as well... thing is though no point in making a piss and moan thread about it because it's not going to change anything...

What really gets me are the one's who sell 10 seeds at around 200 and the genetics aren't what they claim and their so called breeding techniques are actually pollen chucking in their living rooms and they truly don't know the first thing about breeding...

I think you are playing pretty damn LOOSE with your numbers.
So are you saying Seedbay or the boo take 50% of the selling price and that breeders report all this income so it can be taxed?
Why does it take a year to produce a batch of seeds? That's just stupid.

i refuse to pay more than 80-100 dollars for seeds...ABSOLUTELY REFUSE..in the past year I have actually received more killer seeds/genetics...than I have ever before and for FREE.....guys just do what everyone who has been collecting seeds for more than 5 years does....MAKE YOUR OWN AND TRADE....there are websites dedicated to this very thing...umm and yes I think seed prices are outrageous thats why I make f2's and crosses so I never have to spend crazy high prices...
Rez and DGS and CGS and all these "hype" so called elites....20 bucks for a fucking seed are you kidding me...

No loose numbers there, I know dont I ?

Yes when you run a legal seed company, you pay selling tax here in holland that's 19%, at the end you also pay income tax but i didn't even count that. Yes from 100 dollar you get 40 dollar minus the income tax at the end of the year.

Yes it takes around a year before you can sell your new crossing, First you need to select, Then you need to produce, and then you need to test, and when all is good you can sell. ANythng wrong in that and its back to the drawingboards.

No loose counting here my friend, i know what i talk about.

In my eyes seeds costing between 40 and 120 dollars for 12 seeds are when done right, worth there price.

On a plant that would have yielded a half ounce I got over 500 seeds.

10 seeds a pack, 100 bucks a pack, thats $5000 from seeds vs. less than $200 from a half ounce...

Sad to see this topic having so many pages...

If you dont like the prices you dont have to press that pretty little "BUY NOW" button. In the end, if they are priced to high they wont sell. If they dont sell they will either lower the price or set in the frig till they are no good.

Look at Sensi, you cant tell me that the Jack H are flying off the shelves. Not when breaders like Karma can work the line and sell it at almost a third of the cost. If you dont like one price look around and find something else close or find something with the genetics you are looking for and go pheno hunting.

****personal note***** With all the good deals that have been out there to be had over the last month how can anybody complain about price.

Also got to say, i can only talk for myself, not for other company's ore breeders. As some might not do it the same way.

Enouf word's in this thread from me, Peace out.

and keep well medicated.

i think of it as buying a pair of sneakers...

i can go to KMART and buy a pair of shoes for 25 bucks...or i can go to footlocker and pay 100...

i'll take my chances at footlocker...

i might buy a fucked up pair that are uncomfortable...but for the most part, the shoes are worth the money..
