That sounds high, $3-3200 sounds about right.
Shit, for most of my smoking life I never grew. Thank goodness for commercial growers who supply most people. Most people would never risk a day in jail to grow weed. Not that important to them. Luckily I always had good connections, but I always marvel at the anti dealer/commercial grower platitudes. WHo did those people buy from before they grew?

Around here you would be crazy to pay more than $2300.00 for a pound of primo. Usually a pound of really good bone dry goes for $2000.00 to $2200.00. Exceptional stuff that only comes around in a blue moon fetch in the $2300.00 area, sometimes may be a little more, but not much.
On another note, I really think putting down commercial growers whom do their job responsibly and safely is kind of silly. Everyone here (okay, most anyways) started smoking stuff that was purchased. If you never had that opprotunity, you probably wouldn't be enjoying that nice home grown you grow today. Some growers are in it only to produce as much as possible without taking into account the quality. This is the stuff I steer clear of. Other growers you can see spent the time and cared enough to go for more quality with lack of production. This shows me that there was more than just dollar signs in their eyes and a love for the plant. This is the commercial you should seek out. Some poeple can't grow period, should they go without? I think not. Just my 2 cents.

those two busts u linked to happened two weeks ago, the link he posted last page was about a bust that went down on april 8th...which makes it look like the original clowns rolled on someone...although in the most recent article it makes mention of them stealing power as well so i guess it is unclear...if i had to guess i think the guy got popped on his own for stealing power but what do i know...

ok i agree but the other two could not be handled by CPD narcotics b/c they weren't in chicago proper...CCSD handled the other two cause they were outside the city limits...i think its hard to say whether they were related or not at this point...

You have no pity for commercial growers? So you would just quit smoking altogether if you could not grow? Marijuana is marijuana -whether for personal use or for bulk sale-. Not all commercial growers do so for money. Many provide medicine to the sick and others grow commercially so pot smokers (like you) can have smoke readily available if you can't grow. Some commercial growers are greedy -there's no dought- but to make a blanket statement like that is just ridiculous.
