Second 400w DR60 Multi-Strain Grow Show!

12/2

Today was their final watering of plain water before the 12/12 flip. I plan to give them a 1/2 strength transition dose of nutes (2-2-2) on the 5th and then on the 7th they'll be on their flowering schedule and hopefully they will explode and provide everyone with all the bud porn they could ever hope for!

Growth progress!

Power Kush, one of the stronger growers in the tent and has been steady since day 1. Has a unique light green splotches on it's leaves that it's had since sprout, also has a single brown spot that's been there as long as i can remember. Very healthy plant, could be slightly stingy with nutes, hard to tell since some of it's weird traits have been present before nute dosage. Very strong node growth.

White Rhino 1, another top performer. Very healthy, very hearty. Looks like a dominate indica phenotype with very green leaves and a hearty smell. This particular pheno has some curvature to it's leaves, like the PK it's shown this trait as long as i can remember. Handles nutes like a champ, very thirsty plant.

picture.php

picture.php

Blue Cheese, i love this plant so far. Very pretty, symmetrical pointy leaves, skunky odor. Handles nutes very well, no deformities/signs of worry so far!

picture.php

picture.php

Lemon Skunk, I am extremely pleased with this strain. Very fast, aggressive growth, beautiful, symmetrical, big fat leaves, great internode/node growth, it has it all! Probably the best performer at the moment.

picture.php

This is my surviving White Widow. Mixed emotions on this plant, on one hand it's showed much slower growth than it's sisters, however it's a very compact and nice looking plant. Very healthy green leaves and steady growth.

This was labeled wrong, it's actually my Blueberry! Oh how i love you're finished product! I don't like waiting for you to grow though :(. Hands down one of the nicest looking plants at the moment, beautiful thin, pointy leaves, steady growth and extremely healthy deep green color. As earlier stated, has an odd genetic quirk on a leaf of a lower branch, however this hasn't repeated itself yet. This is supposedly an 'unstable strain' so i'm watching it a bit more closely than others.

White rhino 2 not pictured.

Group shot of the ladies.

They will be flipped in 5 days! Pull up a chair if you haven't already. Questions/comments/flames always welcome as usual.

From Looking at this plant, it seems you have the light a little to close and that is why the leaves are turning upside down as you see or making a twist.

I also see that you say in 5 days they are going into flowering? How long have you vegged these? They look very premature dont you think

hey Roortokeage, welcome back!

That effect is actually just the camera, all of my shots are like that. Thanks for the concern though :)

They will have vegged for 21 days at that time. in another 5 days they will probably be about double in size of what they are now. My tent can only hold so much, i need to prepare for the stretch. They'll keep growing in flowering ;)

I'm shooting for about a 70~ day cut. We'll see!

Also southpaw thanks for stopping by and your kind words!

Great show.... Doesnt it seem a little early to lst them plants? They should have at least 3-4 nodes before pulling down. Either way everything LOOKS GREAT BUDDY!!!!!! have a lovely night and ill be back here tommorrow....

Also missed this question. There is really no too early to LST, you can do it as soon as the stem is strong and limber enough to support the stress. You really won't see any benefits until it grows a few more nodes however. the reason i did it so early is because i have to basically contain 3 plants while i flower 4 others. I figured i might as well start snaking it around my smaller planter before i have to transplant.

Basically i had to improvise a bit this grow because i bit off way more than i could chew! Some things may not be as normal, so to speak, as my other grows!

Thanks for your concern though, always enjoy you stopping by! Looking forward to more updates from you as well!

Also i was going through older pics, this was my last grow before i upgraded to a 400w HID system. I am not, i repeat I AM NOT putting down CFLs, they serve their purpose, these are only a comparison between my grow results.

picture.php

This was grown under 260 watts of CFL. This is day 24.

picture.php

This is day 16 of 400w HID.

Anyone considering updating to a HID system, i say go for it!

Um thats not the camera buddy. How close is the light? I can see the twist, you need to look at that again buddy. you could also see some brown speckles too.

30 day veg ant bad. Ive gone 70 days for vegg. Its all up to you. They are very small plants, I dont even see any Pre-flowers yet on them. Are you sure you want to do this>? :thanks:

I promise it's the camera ;) I'm looking at the plants right now. The light green you see is the new immature growth, it's being amplified by the light of the flash and makes it look a bit off. You can actually see above in the CFL picture i linked, same thing and that was with a completely different setup and CFLs. As for the curling, i'm certain it's not heat related. My canopy temps don't go above 85F, and like stated earlier, this was present in the very beginning of growth. It's just a genetic quirk. The large brown spot is the same thing, as for the tiny little dots around the edges, those slowly started to appear even before the nutes. So i'm not sure what to make of them, it's something i'm keeping an eye on.

As for the 7th, it's just an educated guess when i think i should flip. I may be wrong, if i'm not happy with the plant's progress, i can always wait a few more days/weeks/months/years =p. the biggest achilles' heal i have here is i have one of the smaller grow tents. I am going to purchase a DR80 sometime in the future so i can have a proper veg/flower setup and a bit more room.

To give you a bit of visual perspective, i'll use Dr. Bud's grow log as an example.

This was a clone he flowered immediately.

This was it at day 75 (cut)

(by the way if you have a problem with me using your pictures just let me know dr bud!)

The problem i have at the moment is i only have about 3 vertical feet to work with before i'm at my light, and it's called weed for a reason! ;)

I think you misunderstood me, i meant no disrespect at all, i'm appreciative for anyone who comments/gives advices/hell even trolls.

I very much appreciate your input and didn't mean to imply that i know more than you, what i meant was look above at my last grow was that the light green you're seeing is just my camera being funky, nothing less ;). I had conincidentally posted a pic from my last grow with CFLs and noticed it too had the same flash effect, so i referenced it. Sorry for the confusion!

Around this stage in it's life they should really start shooting up growth in the next few days. Technically people say you should wait for the nodes to alternate before you flip to 12/12 but it'll work either way. If your worried about stretch from flowering being to much you can always LST them as they go.

OPT - Yeah hopefully! I can't wait until they really explode, they've really picked up the pace the last couple of days. As far as LSTing them as they flower, yeah i can always rig something up, however it's as tight as a fit wide as it is tall, so i guess we'll see how it turns out!

Take this as a lesson tent growers, don't overfill your tents!

No, you're definitely right about the twisting of the leaves. I've noticed my other WR is mildly doing the same thing. So i'm torn, although i still don't want to think it's heat, i've raised my light about 6" inches.

We'll see how they do. I'm glad you like your tent, they are definitely worth the money!
